Happy Sunday!  DT Jane here with a little ladybug for you! We rarely see them in our garden and they are one of my faves!  This is Little Lady Bug from LDRS Saturated Canary Range and I have coloured her on Kraft card...something I rarely do and need a bit more practice I think!

Thanks for stopping in and be sure to check out the new goodies in the store!

Nurse Nightingale

Good morning!  It's Linda here again Tuesday has rolled around and I'm here with my regular weekly post and my 4th card of the week *phew!*

I needed to make a card for a friend at work who was leaving clinical teaching to go back into nursing.  I thought that Nurse Nightingale was perfect for this.  Sadly she's now out of stock, but the good news if you're a Kraftin' Kimmie fan, is that all Kraftin' Kimmie stamps in the store are all on sale and most are around half price!  Grab a bargain while they're still in stock!

I coloured her in Copics and paired her with the gorgeous Shoreline Treasures collection by Pion Design. These papers are so lovely and you can use many of them for more than just seaside or summer themes. I paired the Pion paper with some Kraft.

I've distressed all the edges of my paper and inked with DI in Walnut Stain and hand stitched as always with top stitch thread.

I fussy cut her out and popped her up on foam tape on a couple of sheets cut with a Die-namics Notebook Paper die. On top of that I've cut a couple of little banners with the smallest sizes of the Die-namics Jumbo Fishtail Banner Stax. The sentiment is from the Everyday Mini Postage Stamps sentiments by Whimsy and cut with the matching die.

The inside is decorated with the same paper range to complement the front...as you can see I wrote my message before remembering to take pics oops.
The wings at the top of the card are cut with the La-La Land Craft's Wings Set

A reminder of what I used from the store:

Distress Ink: Walnut Stain

Well that's it from me today, I'll see you again next week for some more crafty fun!  Take care :) xx

Felicity - You Rock!

Good Morning Everyone
I hope you are well and having a good weekend

For today's card I have used a stamp called Felicity by Make it Crafty, I love her trendy outfit! The wonderful papers are Teresa Collins Daily Stories with Bazzill Kraft Cardstock.
The stitched square is from Die-Namics Blueprints 14 and the tabs and circles from Blueprints 12. I have used a Die-Namics Musical Notes die which I cut from Kraft and black card to layer up in order to create a shadow effect.

Getting Krafty with Bildmalarna!

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a great Wednesday.  It's Ann-Marie popping in today to show you a card I have made using the adorable Bildmalarna image 'Mimosa Guitar'.

I thought I would try a Kraft and white colour scheme for my card and added a splash of red in there to lift it and I must say I like the outcome very much.

Okay folks time for me to go but before I do I would like to say thank you for stopping by and I hope I have inspired you to get Krafty!

Take care.

Merry and Bright

Good Morning everyone.
I hope you are well and having a good weekend.

I have used one of the adorable new Christmas Stamps from Bildmalarna for my card today.
The gorgeous deep red paper is by Imaginisce and the other stunning papers are Kaisercraft, I love these traditional colours.
The roses are made using Die-namics Mini Rolled Rose, these cut through the Wool Felt so easily. I have used my favourite Cheery Lynn Holly Leaves again. My sentiment is from the very useful Whimsy Holiday Noteables 2 set.

Close up of the adorable image, you can just about see the holly leaves stamped on the corners, they are from the same Whimsy sentiment set.

Thank you for taking the time to stop and look at my card today.
I hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend
bye for now

Christmas Kids

Well Howdy to Y'All

How are you?  I hope you had a good weekend.

Today I would like to share with you a card I have made using one of the stamps from Moreheads Christmas Kids - Surprise Collection and what a little cutie he is too. There are absolutely stacks of stamps in this collection so make sure you check it out.

Here is the full card:

I've tried to keep the card along the 'vintagey' theme with traditional Christmas colours which I just love.  All the items I have used can be found at Dies to Die For and the recipe for the card is as follows:

Stamp:  Moreheads - Christmas Kids - Surprise
Paper:  Echo Park - This & That Christmas (its not showing in the store at the moment but contact Tracy and I'm sure she will get it for you)
Kraft Card:  Bazzill Kraft
Holly Die:  Cheery Lynn - Holly Corner
Banner:  Die-Namics - Fishtail Banner

The image has been coloured with Copics:

Skin:  E21 E00 E000 E0000 / R20 R30 (cheeks)
Hat:  R39 R29 R27 R24 R22 / G29 G46 G24 (holly) / YR24 YR23 YR21 YR20 (bell)
Top:  E43 E42 E41 E40
Sock:  R39 R29 R27 R24 R22 / E43 E42 E41 E40
Shading:  W5 W3 W1 W0

To outline the image and edge the papers I have used Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink

To add some dimension to the card I made a frame out of Kraft card and stitched around it with my sewing machine before adding some foam pads to the back to adhere it to the main card.  Here is a picture so you can see the depth that this adds to the card:

And there you have it.  I hope you like it.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and have a look.

Enjoy the rest of your week.

Take care.

Merry and Bright

Morning all! Well, it is the middle of November and I have finally gone and done it... I've made my first Christmas card! Unfortunately for me, Christmas cards are way down my list of favourite cards to make, so I find this time of year a bit of a chore. Not on this card though - I love it! Not only did it just fall together with ease, I love the final look. Merry and bright indeed :)

As soon as I saw the lovely baubles that come with this super cute Some Odd Girl stamp, I just knew that I wanted to glaze them up to make them a) a bit more realistic and b) a bit more blingy. I normally get in a right mess with Glossy Accents but I've finally learned my lesson.... LEAVE IT ALONE UNTIL IT IS DRY! Simple as long as you stick to the rules really ;o)

Hope you like this little card and that you are slightly further along with your Christmas card making than I am!

Wednesday, 19 September 2012

I have been completely hooked on the Amy Tangerine Daybooks recently, and decided that I really wanted to have a crack at making my own. And here is what I made...

The cover...
Here is the inside...
Here is a closer look at some of the inside pages...
 Die-cut page
 Journal card page
 Coin envelope page

I just cannot stop making these cute little albums, and they are a fantastic way to use up papers that you have had lying around. This one was made from a 6x6 Paper Pad by Best Creations Inc called Travel Forever...HERE. The diecut bits were cut from a sheet of card in the pad, as were all the bits used to decorate under the Hambly overlay that is on the front. The cover itself is made with Bazzill Kraft cardstock...HERE, and I added AC Thickers for the title . I have sewn the spine of this one by using my sewing machine. Don't turn it on or use the foot pedal....use the wheel and turn it manually...you don't want to break the needle going through all the layers.

I am totally addicted, and will have another one to show you next week...They are such a great way to use up the ends of paper pads, or left over pieces of 12x12.

Friday Morning Cuteness

Morning everyone, hope you are all set and ready to go for yet another rainy August bank holiday weekend?! Why oh why does it always rain on this weekend, every year, without fail?

Today, I'm continuing my uncanny knack of making cards with things that I know without a doubt were from DTDF, but now can't find in the shop! I am clearly the most hopeless DT member in the world, but hope that my card inspires you to browse amongst the other gorgeous CC Designs 'Swiss Pixies' in the shop and have a chuckle at the different Inkadinkadoo kiddie phrases that are available :o)

This is actually my DT card for this months Die-ing For a Challenge. The theme this month is a cinch.... anything goes! Just be sure to read up on the rules, then get stuck in and play along with us to be in with a chance of winning a £25 voucher to spend in the Dies to Die For shop!

Rediscovering Miss Anya

Hi all! Well, here I am, a day late for my DT day... a big thanks to Pops for covering for me! Picture the scene..... My card was all made and ready for sharing.....I made myself late for work because I was taking some last minute pictures of it.....I get to work, load up my photo-editor..... reach for my camera..... only to realise I'd left the lead at home! ARGH! Anyway, here I am, a day late, but better late than never, right?!

I really enjoyed making this card. Initially I messed up my colouring on the body. As I'd already coloured her head, I chopped it off (I know, I felt barbaric too!) and stuck it on the body of another Miss Anya in the set. Hey presto, you can't tell the difference :o)

Not only was it a joy to play with Miss Anya again, I also got to stroke some American Crafts papers. Did you know that American Craft now do 6x6 pads?! Well they do and Tracy's got 'em - just follow the linkies below. There is only one work for them.... delish.

Anyway, enjoy the sunshine that we've been promised! It's still a bit murky here in Southampton, but there are signs of hope peaking through :o)
