A Mice Time To Celebrate

I can't remember the last time that I heat-embossed, but I like the white-on-colour embossed text and decided to give it a try on today's card.  The little meecie is from my new MFT set and I love this little guy doing his happy-dance!  I've stuck the sentiment banner with foam pads and created a little wave in it by alternating raised bits with areas stuck directly onto the card.

Puppy Power

For someone who's usually more of a 'cat person', I couldn't resist these puppies when I saw them and just 'had' to have them!

Baseball

Morning all, or should I say Strike One!

I am getting to be a terror at forgetting birthdays until after the event, so this little chap works well for my newly acquired but really annoying failings

Lovely things used

Enjoy your Bank Holiday (UK) weekend folk!

Me and my Dragon

I've masked a few stamps together to make today's card from the Mama Elephant 'Me and my Dragon' stamp set.  I used a sentiment from the MFT Magical Dragons set to complement it. Dragons are meant to be scary, but this fella reminds me of Toothless from 'How to Train your Dragon'!

Blanche the Butterfly

I've loved the Tiny Townies images from Stamping Bella since they were first released and the new butterfly set are no exception.  This one's called Blanche and I even love her dainty hands! The folds on the dress were challenging but she didn't turn out too badly for a first attempt!  I added some white gel pen speckles on her wings and also some speckles on the sky around her although it doesn't show up well in the photograph!

Bitty Bears and Birthday Bears

It's time for my mid-week creation and I've been busy making a box card using Bitty Bears from MFT.  I've inked and watercoloured 5 of the bears and a few of the accessories together with a couple of items from the Birthday Bears stamp set for the flaps of my box card.

I added some Stitched Clouds from Memory Box and a 'Wishes' sentiment die. The one I used was WPlus9 but MFT Dienamics Cause for Celebration is a really close match.  The stamped 'Birthday' comes from the Birthday Bears stamp set (I used the "Birthday Bear Hugs" stamp and masked off the 'Bear Hugs' part)

The foliage around the fence is
Memory Box Lavish Branch and the fence is also from Memory Box.

Lunar Animals

It's hump-day already so I'm here with my mid-week creation for Dies to Die For.  I bought a ruler where the back opens up and you can slide in a decorated card strip which is then sealed back inside when you clip the back piece in place again.

The ruler is fairly narrow, so I needed to use some dinky images. The Lunar Animal cuties from Mama Elephant were the perfect size so I created a line-up of them.  They were nice and easy to watercolour and I shaded around the edge of the panel with blue ink to create some sky.

I hope you like my little project which was really easy to make.

Here's a closer view of the critters:

Polar Bear and Mousie

I really love these stuffies from Stamping Bella, and today I've used one called Polar Bear and Mousie.  I've kept the design nice and simple so it focuses on the image which I've watercoloured as usual. The sentiment comes with the stamp.

The Walrus, the Polar Bear and the Penguin

It's 'Hump Day' so I'm here with my mid-weekly dose of cuteness from Dies To Die For using this adorable image called The Walrus, the Polar Bear and the Penguin Stuffies from Stamping Bella
.

I love these Stuffie images and wanted to keep the image as the central focal point. I've added a narrow matting layer of dusky blue and embossed a layer of white card as a background, stitching both layers.

Oliver Loves to Celebrate

Cards don't come much more simple than today's, but I'm on a mission to ensure that I have enough Christmas cards for the guys in my life!  I'm horrendously bad at making cards for the gents, but I'm hoping this one is suitably non-fussy while still being adorable (which satisfies my need for cuteness!).  The stamp is Owliver Loves to Celebrate from Stamping Bella and I've used the sentiment which comes from the same set.

Santa's Elves

I've been getting inky again with my ink pads and daubers to create a background for some die cut images.  I 'cased' a card from Karin using the Santa's Elves stamp set.  I liked it so much that I made 3 using different elves from the same set.

To create the circle I cut a circle from paper and then use that as a template to ink some Tumbled Glass working my way inwards from the edge getting slightly lighter towards the centre.

Halloween Hello

I 'cased' a card by Tara following her fabulously easy tutorial for a night sky background using my DI pads and a dauber.  I did get quite inky fingers though, and only the finger with the dauber seemed to escape!

I stamped the bat and then masked it with a fussy cut version that I'd stamped onto a post-it note.  The moon was a simple circle which further masked the card. I then used my dauber to ink from the edges inwards getting lighter as I moved inwards.

When the masks are removed the moon looks like it 'glows'. I added a bit of shading to the moon itself, coloured the bat and stamped a sentiment.

Witch Way is the Candy?

Halloween is creeping up on us and I've created a little topical card for Dies to Die For using and MFT set called Witch Way is the Candy.   I stamped and masked a circle and my characters before inking the whole cardbase with DI using some daubers and then watercoloured my image, adding some creamy yellow and a spot of pale grey to the moon for texture.  I sprinkled some water over the background to resemble a starry galaxy sky and matted the whole panel on black card.

Reindeer Kitty

As soon as I saw this guy in a recent release from Whimsy stamps I knew I wanted needed him. I've used the sentiment that comes with him and shaded it in an ombre style.

I showed the finished card to my hubby who said 'Who are you gonna give that to? They might take offence at the sentiment".

I told him I was planning on giving it to him.  ;0)

Girl Time

I wanted to give a gift voucher for a massage to a young lady who works at a cafe that hubby and I visit when we venture into town so I made a card so I could pop her voucher inside.  This is what I came up with...

Toasty Greetings

If you follow my blog then you will know that I have a real soft spot for little pingus and this one is one I would love to just scoop up and snuggle.  Isn't he ADORABLE!  He's from the Toasty Greetings set from Dies to Die For and I've used a sentiment from the same set.

Daffodil

As soon as I saw this little lady, I loved her sassy pose. Isn't she just FABULOUS!  I imagine her saying 'taa-daa!' :0)  Even her little shoes are daffodils. I've teamed her with a sentiment from another Stamping Bella image, Brittany the Birthday Girl, both from Dies to Die For.

Merry Everything

I've got, not one, but two cards to share today featuring some cute pingus playing with a snowman in a snowglobe!  The designs are the same, but different colour combos.

On the second one I've chalked some background in to give the image some 'pop'!
