Snowflake Dancer

Ok so.....make sure you're sitting down....I made another Clean & Simple card. I know right?!
Those of you who are familiar with my work, will know how difficult I find these. This one was no exception, once I had the image coloured up and cut out I really struggled with it. I knew I wanted to keep it clean to showcase the beautiful drawing by Sylvia Zet but I kept feeling that I should add more. Luckily I resisted, because now it's finished I really love it.

I outlined all the clothing hair and snowflakes with my Sakura Gelly Roll pen - Clear Star. This adds a wonderful soft metallic sparkle and I wish the camera would pick it up properly, because it looks so pretty in real life,

That's all from me today but I'll be back to share more inspiration next week.
Have a lovely weekend! :) xx

Spring Bringer

Good morning everyone it's Ann-Marie popping in today to share some crafty love with you all and today I thought I would bring a little bit of spring with me in the hope that it's soon around the corner.

I inked up an older Whimsy Stamps Wee image 'Spring Bringer' but she is still one of my all time favourites.  I coloured her up to compliment the oh so gorgeous Echo Park For the Record 2 'Tailored' papers which are actually on offer at the moment too over in the store.  I decided to mat them onto black card stock just to make the colours pop.

That's all from me today, thank you for dropping in and I hope you enjoy the remainder of your weekend.

Happy Wednesday everyone, Ann-Marie popping in today to share some craftiness with you.

I decided to play with a Wee Stamp for my card today and this one is 'Suzi with Bunny' and she's such a cutie pie.  I took my colour inspiration as normal from my papers and I used the gorgeous Bo Bunny 'Prairie Chic' papers which are really pretty folks and are actually on offer over in the store at the moment too.

My usual close up of the image for you.  She is just beautiful and delightful to colour peeps.

Sweet Blossom

Hello everyone, Ann-Marie popping in today with my usual Wednesday inspiration albeit a little later than I originally planned.

I was feeling all pink and girly when I made this one which may have had something to do with the most adorable Bo Bunny 'Isabella' papers.  Ooh these are so pretty and very stroke'able I so love their colour palette which is how I ended up with my pink and grey colour scheme.  Anyway, I chose a Wee Stamps image called 'Sweet Blossom' to play with from Whimsy Stamps and she still remains one of my all time faves she's just so sweet and adorable.  I haven't over embellished my card in fact I've kept it quite simple as I wanted the image to be the main focal point so only added a little ribbon and pearls and she was finished.

Okay that's my share for you this week and I hope you like it.  Thank you for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your week folks.

Take care.

Friendship is the Greatest Gift

Morning folks, it's Linda here with a super quick one from me as I'm running late and scheduling this quick before getting to bed.

I'm not quite sure if I like this or not yet, the jury is still out on this one, I was suffering terribly with my asthma today (yesterday when this goes live) and really had no mojo at all, but I really wanted to use these lovely non traditional colours Xmas papers from Whimsy and now I've photographed them the colours of the papers are not showing well at all! What looks in the pics like a soft beige/nude is actually a lovely pink *sigh*.

Love this image by Sylvia Zet, all her stamps for Whimsy are soooooooooooo cute!  I coloured this pair in my Inktense pencils to match the colours of the paper (even if the colours of the paper aren't showing too well in the pics).

I distressed the paper edges and inked them with Walnut Stain distress ink. I used some Bazill Kraft to mount my layers and for the sentiment and snowflakes, for a little contrast to the brights. The sentiment is from an Impression Obsession set. This set is so useful, it has a sentiment for almost every occasion!

Love this parrot green ruffled ribbon (sadly I think Tracy is out of stock of this now) it matched perfectly with a length of ribbon I had left in my stash

That's it from me today, sorry the pics are a bit naff it was very late by the time I took them.

See you next week! : ) x x

Silver Fairy in Violet and Rose

Happy Tuesday Stampers! DT Linda here again with my regular Tuesday inspiration post, and today I'm using another of the wonderfully talented Sylvia Zet's images.  Just love her work the stamps are sooo sweet.  If you follow me on Facebook you've probably seen me share this image when I first coloured it whilst at my parents and when I chose the colours I actually had the new Pion papers in mind.  However I wasn't sure they were going to arrive in time for my make and so I went ahead and made the card up with another Pion collection....and then guess what?  Yup, those new Pion papers arrived with the postie on Saturday.  Oh well, at least I have them all ready for my next make.

This is my finished card, I used Silver Fairy, from Whimsy Stamps and the corner lace die is also made by Whimsy.  The shape is made with a Martha Stewart PATP punch set. I edged all the papers with DI in Dusty Concord.

She's coloured with my Inktense pencils plus a few watercolour pencils for the skin and hair. You can find the colours on my blog.

I finished off with this lovely bead trim and a La-La Land butterfly die.

I used more papers from the same collection to decorate the inside and give a space to write a message.

Daphne

Happy Tuesday all! Linda here with my Tuesday inspiration post.  It's back to work for me today so this post is scheduled, but I only have today and tomorrow in work and then I have a few days off as I'm visiting my parents.  This does mean no more cards from me for a week and a half as I won't be crafting (though I will be colouring images while I'm away) but I'll try and get my Blog Candy sorted before I go.

Anyway on to my project for today.  It's a card using the adorable Daphne by the talented Artist Sylvia Zet, love her images. I paired her with a gorgeous papers from MME.  I've listed all the items used from the shop at the end of my post, with links to take you straight to them.

I coloured Daphne up in Copics to match the papers, and cut an aperture in my paper with a Stax die to frame her. I inked all the edges with Walnut Stain distress ink and sewed them with top stitch thread.

I added some glitter to her wings and doted her with some liquid pearls in white opal.

I added a lovely bow cut with a Die-namics die and used a piece of a Prima embellishment in the top corner. I added a bit more Prima bling to the bow and a couple of corners.

I used a co-ordinating sheet of paper from the same pad to decorate the inside of the card, and added some plain white card cut with one of the stax dies.

Well that's all from me for today, I'll see you again in 2 weeks time with some more inspiration to share.

Take care! : ) x x

Summer Fairy

Good morning and Happy Tuesday to you!  It's Linda  here with my Tuesday inspiration post.
Today I've used Summer Fairy, drawn by the talented Sylvia Zet.

The papers are a mix of 2 different MME pads, links to products can be found at the end of my post as always. The quality of these papers is lovely to work with.

I coloured her with Copics which are think are the best choice for bright colours and decided to get funky with her hair.  Her hair is absolutely wonderful to colour up, such fun!

You can find a close up and a list of all the colours used over on my blog

I didn't over embellish as the papers were bright and busy, just a few flowers and some MME brads in the corners. I finished off with a bow from a scrap of ribbon from my scraps box and popped a little Prima bling on the top. The sentiment is from Whimsy and is cut with a matching die. Lastly I added a flurry of tiny butterflies cut with a Memory Box die.

I decorated the inside as usual with papers to complement the front.

Well that's all from me today, don't forget to sign up for my blog candy here if you haven't already, there's just over 2 weeks now till I draw a winner, and I'll see you all next time.

Enjoy your day! : ) x x
