Merry and Bright

Morning all! Well, it is the middle of November and I have finally gone and done it... I've made my first Christmas card! Unfortunately for me, Christmas cards are way down my list of favourite cards to make, so I find this time of year a bit of a chore. Not on this card though - I love it! Not only did it just fall together with ease, I love the final look. Merry and bright indeed :)

As soon as I saw the lovely baubles that come with this super cute Some Odd Girl stamp, I just knew that I wanted to glaze them up to make them a) a bit more realistic and b) a bit more blingy. I normally get in a right mess with Glossy Accents but I've finally learned my lesson.... LEAVE IT ALONE UNTIL IT IS DRY! Simple as long as you stick to the rules really ;o)

Hope you like this little card and that you are slightly further along with your Christmas card making than I am!

Grad Girl

Hi there, for my card today I have used the lovely A La Modes Grad Girl stamp by My Favourite Things and coloured her with Copics. I have cut her out with a Nestabilities Circle die - currently not in stock but can be ordered for you. I have added her to a base made with Echo Park Be Mine paper cut using the MFT Die-Namics Fishtail Flags Stax dies. I have stamped the sentiment, from the same stamp set and cut out with a Whimsy Notables 2 die. I have finished the card off with Bazzill Blackbird Jewels. Butterfly Wings

Here is my card I have made for the current challenge of 'Anything Goes' which has now moved to this blog. You can see the post HERE and link your creation.

For my card I have taken a white Craftwork Cards Size 5 card blank and made a base from Echo Park Springtime papers and added a MFT Die-Namic Small Scallop Border cut from Bazzill Kraft. I have then added a circle of white CS cut using an MFT Die-Namic Circle Stax and mounted it with a Nestabilities Big Scallop Circle (currently not in stock but can be ordered). I have then stamped the CC Designs Butterfly Wings stamp with Memento Angel Pink ink and duie cut with the Wings die. Last but not least I have stamped the sentiment from the CC Designs Amy R 'Many Thanks' set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on to more white and cut this out with a MFT Die-Namics Fishtail Flag Stax die. Finsihed off with MME Lush Rhinestones.

Supplies: (please click the links to be taken to the shop)

Thanks for visiting today and I hope you can play along in our challenge.

90th Birthday

Here is a card I made for my nan for her 90th Birthday. I have made a pnel from a Nestabilities Square die - currently not in stock but can be ordered and decorated it using MFT Die-Namics dies. I have cut two Leafy Flourishes, cutting one down a little with a pair of scissors and added them to the square with liquid glue. I have then taken a sheet from the MME Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks Collection and cut this using the Die-Namics Royal Rose Die. I have wrapped this up and then gently rounded the petals with an embossing tool. The sentiment is printed from my PC.
