It's Penguining to Look a Lot Like Christmas ... is over, but it's never too early to start for next year!

I know Christmas is over, and it's a new year already, but it's never too early to start on 2022's Christmas card stock!  (oh, yes I have!)

Bundle Girl with Reindeer

This is the last one in my Hexagon series. I've really loved making this shape of card. It's so easy, but I think it really stands out.

Ellie loves Phant

I often go overboard with the embelishments when it comes to wedding themes.  In this case it's an engagement card for some friends of ours who live in The Netherlands featuring a pair of loved up heffalumps from Stamping Bella.

Christmas Presents

It's the last in my set of Colorado Craft stamp cards and although it's a Christmas card, the image could possibly be suitable for a birthday card too.

Piggy Pebbles

I really like making large tags.  They are a change from making cards and are lovely to add to a gift for someone special.

I've made my own base shape from a stitched square rectangle and a stitched oval nesting die to curve the top.

To make the tag shape I popped the oval on the top of the rectangle but only placed the top plate up to the point where I want it to cut.

This only allows the pressure to cut the top curve and not the bottom half.  I do the same with the patterned paper, but use a smaller oval.

Stamping Bella - Rosie Smooches Bernie...

Hello friends, I hope you are having an okay day!

I also hope that you and those you love are managing to stay happy and healthy!

Today I am here to show you a card made with beautiful goodies from

I had fun colouring this beautiful image!

I used Derwent Procolour Pencils and chose a much more delicate colour palette than I'm used to!  /-:
Bernie - Pink Madder, Crimson Lake, Felt Grey, Gun Metal, Deep Cadmium, Turquoise Green,
Rosie - Salmon, Pink Madder, Crimson Lake, Light Blue, Sky Blue

I popped the image back into a circular die and blended Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide around the edges.

I added quite a lashing of glitter!
You can never have too much if you're a unicorn - right! (;

The sentiment is from

Finally I layered the image onto some die cut design papers with a pice of pink sparkly ribbon.
Ingredients from Dies To Die For
Catherine Pooler - Circle Dies  (I used a different brand of Circle Dies but these would do nicely)!
MFT Square Stax  (Again, I used a different brand of square die but these would be fine)!
Be sure to have a look around our
to see the gorgeous DT creations there and then to
to engage in some essential retail therapy!

Thank you for popping by!
Happy crafting - look after yourselves!

Happy Dance

I'm doing a little Happy Dance today with this cutie from Stamping Bella.  She comes in a pack of 2 images (a large and a smaller version) and the sentiment.  I stamped the smaller image on the insert to match the outside.

Huggy Squidgie

Woohoooo, I'm so excited about my card today because it's included in the latest issue of Papercraft Essentials (issue 147) which was out last week.

The whole Dies to Die For DT are promoting the lovely new Stamping Bella images available and I used this image called Huggy Squidgie which is really sweet and great for a 'friend' card.

I hope you like it, and if you get the mag, check out the other DTDF DT cards on pages 55 to 58. :0)

Those flowers again!

Happy Friday everyone, it's Kat here!

I had so much fun playing with the gorgeous MFT stitched flower dies for my set of bright floral tags last Friday that I couldn't resist seeing how they would look in a more vintage style.

Flowers are always a good way to say thank you aren't they?!

If you would like more details on how I created this card, then please do pop over to visit me at Paper Firefly.

Have a wonderful day!

Magical Dragons

I've opted for not one, but two of the cutest dragons around for my cards today.  I watercoloured them both in pink and purple, but swapped the colours around on each one. The sentiments come from the MFT stamp set and are available from Dies to Die For as are the stitched cloud dies.

Pin the Tail

I've always loved donkeys. I'm not sure if it's my childhood (and adulthood) love of Winnie the Pooh, or my fondness of the actual animals (we have a Donkey sanctuary not far away), but I do love 'em.  It's not often I see images of donkeys, but as soon as I saw this one, I knew that I had to ink him up.  So here is 'pin the tail' from Whimsy Stamps.

Lunar Easter......

Hi everyone!

Well, while the new Mama Elephant release and restocks are snuggled in customs for their 3rd week (...see..look how I tried to make it sound all cute and positive there?.... rather than OMG seriously customs just let 'em go..) I thought I would have a play with my...Mo's Lunar Animal set for easter ( ...in my defense this make is for Mo so I have redeemed myself for pinching his stamp set right?!!!).

I recycled a little clear box I had saved from christmas (..sigh..yes, I am always saving stuffs like this!!!) adhered a little design paper to the back inside and filled it with little mini mini chocloate eggs from B&M (.....there might not be many left in the packet................).

Then a little bit of fun with die cutting and it was done! its so cute I wannna squish it (...yes, and maybe steal all the lil eggs too...).

Thank you for popping in, hugs Lou xxx

The beauty of memory

Sympathy cards.....
I find them very difficult to make, for several reasons. Apart from the obvious of not really being a pleasurable thing to make, generally they don't really gel with my normal style.  I really don't think they suit being frilly, highly layered and embellished etc. So this week when I'd been struggling to come up with a design for a card that really should already have been sent to a friend, I turned to Pinterest for some inspiration.

I found the answer, and it only cost me 3 hours of my life lol! Pinterest and I have a love/hate relationship, I  love that it's so full of ideas, I hate that it's so full of ideas that it sucks me in and gets me looking at stuff I never even intended to when I stuck my head in there!

Anyway I found a card, and while it's a stunning beautiful and simple elegant card, it wasn't quite me, and I didn't have the right dies and stamps for it. But I used it as my inspiration for the card below. While I was there I also spotted the sentiment I used as I have NO stamps with suitable sentiments on (something I must address), and I used the word processing facility on Open Office to type it out and re-size it just right to fit on my card. That sentiment made me think to use the Crea Diem paper from Maja with the clocks, and then I was off and running. The result is below.
