Snowflake Dancer

Ok so.....make sure you're sitting down....I made another Clean & Simple card. I know right?!
Those of you who are familiar with my work, will know how difficult I find these. This one was no exception, once I had the image coloured up and cut out I really struggled with it. I knew I wanted to keep it clean to showcase the beautiful drawing by Sylvia Zet but I kept feeling that I should add more. Luckily I resisted, because now it's finished I really love it.

I outlined all the clothing hair and snowflakes with my Sakura Gelly Roll pen - Clear Star. This adds a wonderful soft metallic sparkle and I wish the camera would pick it up properly, because it looks so pretty in real life,

That's all from me today but I'll be back to share more inspiration next week.
Have a lovely weekend! :) xx

Paper Doll Marci - Winter

Happy Friday everyone, it's Linda here on the last Friday before Christmas wheeeeeee!!

Today I'm sharing one of my last Christmas cards for the year, very soon I'll be switching to other stuff like Valentine's day and Spring cards.  I made this card for a friend who's a lover of all things slightly quirky, and I really think this stamp from La-La Land fits the bill. As usual links to products are at the end of the post.

I stamped my image with Versafine ink and coloured Marci in Distress Inks
You can find the colours used over on my blog

All papers were edged with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and hand stitched. I added lashings of Gesso to the finished creation

I tucked a little snowflake charm under the bow. The little mittens, hats and sock are a small die set from Whimsy called 'Bundled Up'.  I couldn't find it in the store, but I'm sure Tracy would order it for you if you asked her nicely.

Winter Princess

Happy Friday everyone! It's Linda here.First of all I'd like to say thank you to all the people who sent me messages of concern. I'm so sorry that I've not posted for a while now.  I had some personal stuff going on and some work stuff and health stuff and other stuff all rolled into one and I couldn't even face going into my crafty space to create.  My mojo had been completely squashed by it all. I'm feeling a bit better now and the mojo is slowly coming back, so you should start to see a bit more of me over the next couple of weeks.

Anyway, this is my Dies to Die for DT post for today and as I have a TON of stuff to catch up with I won't waffle on too much but will share pics and the products at the end.

It's also my son's birthday today, 27 years today, now that makes me feel OLD lol!

I'm very happy to be back with you all and I can't wait to catch up with all your makes.

Mimosa - Christmas Flower

Happy Sunday everyone and I hope you've had a good weekend.

I've been making Christmas cards again so I have one of them to share with you today.  I really do love Bildmalarna stamps and they have some gorgeous Christmas images and for my card I chose to use an older stamp but still one of my favourites.  This image is 'Mimosa - Christmas Flower' and I chose a very simple colour palette to compliment the Maja Design Vintage Frost Basics '9th December' papers I used.

That's all from me today.  Thank you for stopping by to have a little look.

Take care,

Candy Canes in Pink

Wheeee! DT Linda here,  it's Friday again, I've been horribly unwell this week (I even took a couple of days off work sick, which rarely happens), but it's almost the weekend and I'm here with my regular Dies to Die for post. Well I know it's Halloween, but it's another Christmas card from me, I do hope you're not getting tired of these lol, but I promise I have some non Christmas creations coming up as well!

This is another Little Darlings Rubber Stamps - Saturated Canary image, she's called Candy Canes.  Now I have to say it wasn't originally my intention to go monochrome with this, she just turned out that way, but I really like the effect. Don't you just love her hair? It reminds me of Mr Whippy ice cream lol  just substitute a couple of chocolate flakes for the Candy Canes hehe.

I've popped a list of products used, along with some links at the end of my post.

I matched her with some gorgeous Maja design papers from the Vintage Frost Basics collection, and coloured her with Distress Inks. Colours used can be found on my blog here.

I added this lovely MFT Snowflake Doily behind her.

I kept the inside quite simple, as by this time I was feeling very poorly indeed.

Stamp: Candy Canes
MFT Sowflake Doily Die
Reverse Wonky Rectangles
Maja Vintage Frost Basics-3rd December
Maja Vintage Frost Basics-5th December
Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Candy Cane Charm

I hope you like her and that she's inspired you to make a start on those Christmas cards if you haven't already.  TTFN! :) xx
