Christmas Wreath

Hello, it's Kat here!

I have a bit of a thing for the Pretty Pink Posh wreath stamps and dies; I think they are so elegant

There are always lots of ways to use the wreaths. For this one I've added a layer of extra stamped elements behind the die cut wreath.

It's snow time!

Hi there, it's Kat here!

I love shaker cards; they are so much fun to make and receive.

Or in the case of today's card I should say SNOW much fun - lol!

The snow globe shaker die set gives you all the elements to build this scene including the adorable snowman :-)

The tiny clear sparkly sequins are utterly perfect for that snowy finish.

The aliens have landed!

Hey everyone, it's Kat here!

I LOVE interactive cards and when I saw a sample made with the magic picture changer die set from Lawn Fawn I knew immediately that I needed to get it and have a play...

And slide...

How fun is that?!

And I couldn't believe how easy it was to create as well; the die set makes it super simple to figure out where to stamp your image and cuts all the pieces for you.

Snow globe tag...not just for tags!

Hi there, it's Kat here!

If you are not up for Christmas crafting yet then look away now!

This tiny snow globe tag is simply adorable...I can't even.

It's not just for tags either...you can totally add it to your cards too, and I cut off the hanging loop at the top so it was free standing.

I've also used a section of a designer paper sheet for my snow globe scene; perfect for a quick make!

Monkeying around

Hi there, it's Kat here!

I have a confession to make...I think I have an addiction to the Mama Elephant Little Agenda stamps!

Well, there are worse addictions to have I guess - lol!

And I've just discovered that they fit perfectly in the MFT photo booth strip die, so now I want to try out ALL of my Little Agenda sets in it...maybe a Christmas one next?!

The sentiment I used is from a stamp set by Uniko, which isn't available from Dies to Die For online but they are usually available at shows so watch out for them there!

Big Fifty!

Hello everyone, it's Kat here!

Last minute cards...we've all been there haven't we?!

So here's an idea you can whip up in minutes and adapt for lots of occasions :-)

It's also brilliant for using up those scraps of paper that we all hoard - lol!

Party at your own pace!

Hi there, it's Kat here!

I heard a rumour that tall skinny cards are making a comeback, and although it's not my fave card shape I thought I'd give it a whirl!

I've combined images from a couple of the adorable Stacey Yacula MFT stamp sets for this little guy who is 100% ready to party...at his own pace of course!

Oceans of love

Hi there, it's Kat here!

It's pretty shocking how long it takes me to get round to using my 'new' stash sometimes!

I finally had a play with the gorgeous little mermaids from a past Mama Elephant release...

I have been using my Taylored Expressions blender brushes again; they made quick work of blending multiple ink colours together to make this ocean background.

Inky Hey!

Happy Friday everyone, it's Kat here!

WARNING: may contain enabling...

If you have ever struggled with getting lovely smooth inky blends (yes yes yes...'waves hands in the air') then you absolutely have to get some of the Taylored Expressions blender brushes...seriously, they are AMAZEBALLS!

I brushed several shades of ink over the star stencil for the background...soooo easy! I used the same inks on white card and then die cut the letters from it. Shout out to these FAB new alphabet dies from MFT as well ;-)

I also love polaroid frames and cute captions so I was in a very happy place whilst creating this card!

To plant a garden...

Hi everyone, it's Kat here!

Let's just say it has been rather wet in the UK for far too many days now, so hopefully the sunshine will be back soon and we can all go and enjoy being outdoors; just like this gorgeous lady...

I'm not one for using so many colours all at once but I was inspired by the super pretty floral paper.

Live laugh love

Hello, it's Kat here!

OMG...how did I miss this super cute little heart tree when it was released?!

I reckon there's a ton of ways to use this gorgeous die (and you know how much I LOVE versatile, right?!) but I'm sharing just one option with you today.

A little inking, a little paper piecing and that's it...simples :-)

It's cocktail o'clock!

Hiya, it's Kat here!

It's Friday so I think we should all drink to that!

I tried really really hard not to buy EVERYTHING from the latest Stamping Bella release, but this lovely lady was first to jump into my basket!

I think we can all get on board with that sentiment, right?

Sweet Bunny Thank You

Hello there, it's Kat here!

Today's card is brought to you by my obsessions with polaroid frames and cute critters...and my new obsession with this ric rac die - lol!

I love that the stamp set has some pretty flower and grass elements that you can use to build a backdrop for your bunny.

Finally...Heartstrings!

Hi everyone, it's Kat here!

I am mostly very speedy at using my new stash but occasionally something languishes in my new stash box for way longer than it should and that was the case with the die I used for today's card.

I've used an inlaid die cutting technique for this design as I think it looks so pretty but there are other (quicker!) ways to use this die too, such as layering the outline over some patterned paper.

Have a beautiful day!

Heartstrings - Concord and 9th
Fancy frames squares - Sunny Studio

(I also used the Sentimental dies from Avery Elle but unfortunately they are no longer stocked at DtDF)

Little Chickies

Happy Friday and Happy Easter, it's Kat here!

I have rather an obsession with the Mama Elephant Little Agenda stamps so today I have used the Little Chickies for a set of notelets; aren't they adorable?!

I've also used brand new sentiments from Mama Elephant and fishtail banner dies from MFT, both of which I feel are going to become essentials in my stash.

No-lines colouring on Kraft - eek!

Hey everyone, it's Kat here!

You may remember the floral wreath stamp and die set that I was totally crushing on back in February (HERE if you missed it)...well, it's back again but with a rather different vibe this time!

I've layered the die cut wreath over an aperture and coloured the image with no-lines technique onto Kraft card  to give this a completely different feel to the previous cards.

Little ninjas

Happy Friday everyone, it's Kat here!

These little ninjas have been languishing for too long in my 'not yet used' stash box and finally they busted their way out - lol!

Top tip: don't forget to buy the matching dies for your character stamps otherwise you end up fussy cutting three ninjas...*sigh*

But they are soooo adorable and then I could put foam pads behind them to add a little dimension to the design, so it was totally worth it :-)
