Merry and Bright

Morning all! Well, it is the middle of November and I have finally gone and done it... I've made my first Christmas card! Unfortunately for me, Christmas cards are way down my list of favourite cards to make, so I find this time of year a bit of a chore. Not on this card though - I love it! Not only did it just fall together with ease, I love the final look. Merry and bright indeed :)

As soon as I saw the lovely baubles that come with this super cute Some Odd Girl stamp, I just knew that I wanted to glaze them up to make them a) a bit more realistic and b) a bit more blingy. I normally get in a right mess with Glossy Accents but I've finally learned my lesson.... LEAVE IT ALONE UNTIL IT IS DRY! Simple as long as you stick to the rules really ;o)

Hope you like this little card and that you are slightly further along with your Christmas card making than I am!

Bliss

Hello DTDF Friends,

Hope you are all well and getting stuck in to your Christmas cards! I'm back after a little time off with a non-Christmassy card that I have made using some of my favourite new goodies. You can't beat an Echo Park and Some Odd Girl combo, right?!

The great thing about this image is the depth that you can get into all those folds of fabric. I cheated slightly on some of the finer details and coloured the edges of the little areas with fine liner pens. It's a really good trick to remember if you are a bit heavy handed with your markers like I am!

All of the goodies used on this card can be found in the DTDF shop, so have a quick click on the links below to be taken directly to each item.

Friday Morning Cuteness

Morning everyone, hope you are all set and ready to go for yet another rainy August bank holiday weekend?! Why oh why does it always rain on this weekend, every year, without fail?

Today, I'm continuing my uncanny knack of making cards with things that I know without a doubt were from DTDF, but now can't find in the shop! I am clearly the most hopeless DT member in the world, but hope that my card inspires you to browse amongst the other gorgeous CC Designs 'Swiss Pixies' in the shop and have a chuckle at the different Inkadinkadoo kiddie phrases that are available :o)

This is actually my DT card for this months Die-ing For a Challenge. The theme this month is a cinch.... anything goes! Just be sure to read up on the rules, then get stuck in and play along with us to be in with a chance of winning a £25 voucher to spend in the Dies to Die For shop!

Girls Rock!

Hello lovely people! How are you enjoying the Olympics?! I've been lucky enough to go to quite a few events and I have to say, it has been awesome! However, if you missed out on getting tickets to any of the events, you will still be able to get involved as Tracy has some great Olympic offers... check out the Dies to Die For store for more details. Be quick though, today is the last day to snap these great deals up!

I have a very bright and cheerful card to share with you today. These just have to be one of my all time favourite papers - so bold and sunny.

Hope you like it! Whilst this particular Creeper Crew member doesn't appear to be in the shop at the moment, if you click on the link below, you will be able to find lots of others Creepers in stock... with 20% off!

My Favorite Things - Notelet Set

Hello Dies to Die For fans! Today I'd like to share with you a few little, very simple, notelets that I made using the Die-namics Polka Dot Greetings Die and Stamp Set from My Favorite Things. As you can see, I went for very bright and colourful with a palette of pink, turquoise and lime green.

I used Cosmo Cricket 'Delovely' paper which was purchased from Dies to Die For. Can't seem to find it in the store now though, but there are plenty of other lovely Cosmo Cricket papers to choose from - just click on the links below.

The colour of this one went a little funky... it is actually the same turquoise as the one above. No idea what happened with the photo, took it a couple of times in different lights, but it just wouldn't take properly. I'd love to be able to fiddle with the colours in my photoeditor, but I have no idea how!

These notelets were super quick to make, but really handy. You always need thank you notelets, right?!

Have a great weekend and make sure you watch the Olympic Opening Ceremony tonight! I was lucky enough to go the the rehersal on Wednesday night and it is amazing!

Rediscovering Miss Anya

Hi all! Well, here I am, a day late for my DT day... a big thanks to Pops for covering for me! Picture the scene..... My card was all made and ready for sharing.....I made myself late for work because I was taking some last minute pictures of it.....I get to work, load up my photo-editor..... reach for my camera..... only to realise I'd left the lead at home! ARGH! Anyway, here I am, a day late, but better late than never, right?!

I really enjoyed making this card. Initially I messed up my colouring on the body. As I'd already coloured her head, I chopped it off (I know, I felt barbaric too!) and stuck it on the body of another Miss Anya in the set. Hey presto, you can't tell the difference :o)

Not only was it a joy to play with Miss Anya again, I also got to stroke some American Crafts papers. Did you know that American Craft now do 6x6 pads?! Well they do and Tracy's got 'em - just follow the linkies below. There is only one work for them.... delish.

Anyway, enjoy the sunshine that we've been promised! It's still a bit murky here in Southampton, but there are signs of hope peaking through :o)

Happy Everything!

Hi everyone! Hope you are well and that the rain isn't getting you down too much. I'm here today with a little card that with hopefully put a smile on your face.... Happy Everything!

I went a little crazy with the MFT Die-Namics and the glitter, but I think it works well with the princess image. Hope you agree! 😊

Have a fab weekend,
Stacey

You're Appreciated

Hello everyone, hope you are well and that you are as pleased as I am that it is nearly the weekend. I had lots of fun in my craft room making todays card. The MFT image was a really nice one to colour up.

This would be a great stamp set for making thank you cards for teachers. It has some great sentiment to go along with this image. However, because I'm not still at School (!) and I don't have any kids, I've gone for a more generic version.

Everything available from DTDF, just follow the linkies below!

Just Because

Hi all! Friday means that it is my turn to post on the blog!

I've taken a slightly different approach with today's card. You know you often get a plain design on the back of pretty papers? Well, other than using it to cover the base of my card blank, I don't often give these plain designs a lot of attention. However, these Authentique papers had such a pretty plain side that I decided to make them the focus of my card.

I think that the number of layers adds the detail needed to make up for the lack of pattern... what do you think?

Whilst I'm never going to abandon pretty papers entirely, I'm glad I gave the neglected reverse side a chance to shine :o)

Make a Wish

Hello all. Hope you haven't been washed away in this horrendous weather! Here is something a bit more bright and cheerful for you :o)

Once again, I couldn't resist whipping out another CC Designs image (soooo cute) and yet more Echo Park paper... Yes, I know I'm obsessed and may need to expand my crafty repertoire, but how can I when all these goodies are so delicious?!

Regular readers of my blog will know that I also have a love for Die-Namics, so I had to squeeze in a little close-up of my sparkly butterflies, didn't I?!

Hope you've enjoyed reading about my little card. Everything featured is available in the DTDF store, so get clicking on the links below :o)

A CC Thank You

Happy Friday everyone! It's Stacey here and I have a sweet little card to share with you today. It combines  a few of my favourite things.... CC Designs Stamps..... Echo Park Papers..... and my fave colours!

I left this card pretty clean and simple. The pretty papers are just too lovely to cover up and I wanted to keep the butterflies in full sight, so that they could be seen up again the butterfly in the image. However, I'm now wondering if I could have added a few Die-Namics butterflies to the top right hand corner.... But, as it always ends in tears when I go back and tamper, I think it is probably safer to leave it alone!

If this card has inspired you to do a little crafty shopping, you will find all of the linkies below :)

Dream BIG!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday! We've had a few little glimpses of sunshine here in Southampton today, so I've got my fingers crossed for the weekend ☺.

I've decided to share with you a little card I created using some fantastic Bazzill papers from a great collection called 'Dino-Mite' and a super sweet dragon from Magnolia (links at the bottom of this post).

Because the image is quite large, I decided to keep the rest of the layout pretty simple. This also maximises the effect of the lovely papers.

The sentiment comes from the MFT 'Big Greetings' set. It is a fab set full of lovely 'BIG' greetings. The only problem is.... I can't find it on the DTDF website! Knowing Tracy, she probably has it though, so drop her an email if you *need* it!

Wishing You the Sweetest Things

Happy Friday everyone! Are you all as excited about the Bank Holiday weekend as me?! I'm hoping to pack in some prime crafting time where I can play with DTDF goodies to my hearts content ☺

Today I have a Bildmalarna stamp and Echo Park paper combo to share with you. Such pretty and bright papers definately work well with this super cute stamp. I just wish the weather was better so that I could get a better picture to share with you - grr!

Make sure you click on the little linkies below to get taken to the product in the DTDF store ☺

Have a fab weekend!

Fairy Dust is a Must!

Hi all! It's my turn to post on the blog today, so I thought I would share this mega cute Greeting Farm card. These stamps come as a set and are slightly smaller than TGF's standard stamps. The beauty of this is that you can fit multiple images on your card! It's great as you can get loads of different looks, all from one set.

I'm not sure if you can see from this picture, but I used Glossy Accents on the wings and mounted everything on glittery white card - essential for that fairy dust feel! I also did something I hardly ever do... I mixed papers from 3 totally different paper collections. I know, life on the edge...!

I've popped all the links below for you to make it nice and easy to find everything in the DTDF shop.

Happy weekend everyone!

Best Dad Ever

Hello lovely ones! Can't believe that it is a week since I last posted on the DTDF blog! Isn't time flying? I have to say though, who else is sick of this flipping weather? Not only does it get you soaked and make you miserable, it also completely prevents you from taking any good pictures of your cards....grr!!!

Even still, hope you like this card I made for my Dad, for Father's Day. I know, I know, it is the first time I've been this organised in my life, but this MFT set is just PERFECT for fathers day. Not only do you get the rosette dies, you get masses of stamps to allow you to personalize it for whoever you want. I just wish I had added a little star in a colour behind the creamy brown 'Dad' ribbon, but I guess I can do that for the next card I make using this set.

Make sure you click the links below to be taken straight to the fab MFT set and the totally gorgeous Echo Park papers in the shop.

Big hugs,

So glad to have you as my friend

Surprise! I'm back on the DTDF DT! After a bit of a break from crafting, I'm very excited to be back in the thick of it...especially as Tracy sent me the most AMAZING DT parcel the other day crammed full of the most loveliest stash ever! Want to see something I made with it?

I made this card for one of my best friends, whose birthday it was yesterday. This gorgeous Mo Manning  image is coloured with Copics and is raised right off the card with heaps of silicone glue! I also had a bit of a Die-Namics frenzy, using my fave butterfly dies as well as the polka dot greeting set. I say 'set' as you get a fantastic MFT stamp set & a Die-Namic label to cut it all out! Make sure you check out all of the deets in the linkies below :o)
Next stop from here also has to be the Dies to Die For Facebook page as today is Freebie Friday! There is a MFT Chevron Stripes Die-Namic up for grabs!

Thanks for stopping by today, hope my card got your creative DTDF juices flowing :o)

Hey!

Happy Saturday everyone! Hope you are all having a fantastic weekend and that you are squeezing in plenty of crafting time :o)

I want to share with you today a little card I made using just a few of the wonderful products that Tracy has in the store right now.

I used an oldie High Hopes stamp (but definately a goodie!) called Party Donkey. I coloured him with Copic Markers, and layered him up with some Bazzill Kraft card and some delicious new Echo Park papers from the 'For the Record' range. To finish everything off, I added a sentiment from The Greeting Farm 'Talk Loud' set.

Hope you like him!

Miss You a Latte!

Ooh, Tracy has such tempting things in the shop at the moment! My card today features one of the fabulous "A La Mode" stamps from My Favorite Things - Miss You a Latte. Coloured with my beloved Copic markers, just for a change!

I've also whipped out some of the green MME Lush papers and layered them up with some Bazzill Kraft card. But guess what? There are NEW Lush papers out! Check out the new Lush 2 range here.

Here is a little peek at the inside....

I carried on with the MME Lush papers, teamed with the Kraft card and also stamped up one of the sentiments that comes in the "Miss You a Latte" set. What do you think of the fab notebook edge? This is another MFT item..... Die-Namics Notebook Edge. I love the effect it gives :o)

Have a great weekend folks!

Good Times!

Hello everyone, Stacey here! I've had a little bit of time away from crafting but after receiving my latest DT package from Tracy, I was inspired to get nice and inky again! Pretty much everything you see on this card is available from our very lovely Tracy :o)

My poor purple Copics don't generally see that much action as I never have any good purple papers to use them with. That all changed when I found these Bo Bunny beauties in my package! Expect to see more of these shortly :o)

Goodie List........
Stamps: 'Birthday Balloon Jolinne' by MFT, available HERE from DTDF.
Paper: 'Peacock Lane' by Bo Bunny, available HERE from DTDF.
Copic Markers: E00, E11, E50, E51, E53, R20, R22, YG03, YG63, YG67, BG15, BG23, BG49, BV00, BV02, BV04, W1, W3, W5, W7 - available HERE from DTDF.
Tools & Embellishments: Sentiment by Whimsy, Prima Gem Centers from DTDF, Scalloped Card Blanks from DTDF, gems and ribbon from stash.

So that's it from me. I'll hopefully be back later in the week with some more examples of gorgeousness available from Dies to Die For!
