Bliss

Good Morning world! DT Linda here and  I'm in busy, busy, busy mode this week both at home and at work as I have a whole week booked off work from starting next Monday and my beautiful daughter is coming up from London on Saturday to visit me for a few days for my birthday.  So I'm trying to get as much done as I can this week.

I've had this stamp for a while now just waiting to be inked, I've never used a Some Odd Girl stamp before, so this was another new try for me.  I thought I'd combine her with these lovely Bildmalarna papers, soooo pretty.  Links to the items in the shop can be found at the end of my post, just click and they will take you straight there with no searching.

Since it's February I created a Valentine's card, though as it doesn't actually say Valentine on it you could actually send it to a loved one on a variety of occasions.
I used a couple of lovely La La Land crafts Dies on my card, they do a wonderful range, check out all the ones that Tracy stocks, there's loads!  What I like about these dies is that they always cut so cleanly.  I never have a problem with them,  no need to use a metal shim, even on an intricate one like the tree I used here.
Both the stamp set and the paper are on sale right now, Tracy has so much lovely stuff on sale, you don't have to spend a small fortune to make lovely cards.

I've accented with some bling, I looooove these Prima Say it with Crystals collection, they are wonderful for a little bit of focal enhancement. I love these Prima butterfly clips, very useful for if you want to change out sentiments too.

The inside is decorated to complement the outside and I used the 3 butterfly stamps that come with the image to stamp on the inside and then accented with some little butterflies cut with a Memory Box die.
Well that's it from me today, I shall have my nose firmly to the grindstone at work when this goes live, desperately trying to empty my in-box before Friday lol.
Take care and have fun! : ) x x

Merry and Bright

Morning all! Well, it is the middle of November and I have finally gone and done it... I've made my first Christmas card! Unfortunately for me, Christmas cards are way down my list of favourite cards to make, so I find this time of year a bit of a chore. Not on this card though - I love it! Not only did it just fall together with ease, I love the final look. Merry and bright indeed :)

As soon as I saw the lovely baubles that come with this super cute Some Odd Girl stamp, I just knew that I wanted to glaze them up to make them a) a bit more realistic and b) a bit more blingy. I normally get in a right mess with Glossy Accents but I've finally learned my lesson.... LEAVE IT ALONE UNTIL IT IS DRY! Simple as long as you stick to the rules really ;o)

Hope you like this little card and that you are slightly further along with your Christmas card making than I am!

Bliss

Hello DTDF Friends,

Hope you are all well and getting stuck in to your Christmas cards! I'm back after a little time off with a non-Christmassy card that I have made using some of my favourite new goodies. You can't beat an Echo Park and Some Odd Girl combo, right?!

The great thing about this image is the depth that you can get into all those folds of fabric. I cheated slightly on some of the finer details and coloured the edges of the little areas with fine liner pens. It's a really good trick to remember if you are a bit heavy handed with your markers like I am!

All of the goodies used on this card can be found in the DTDF shop, so have a quick click on the links below to be taken directly to each item.

Gifty Gwen

Hello there, Michelle here again. Here is a card I have made using one of the fab new Some Odd Girl stamps now available at Dies to Die for. I have stamped Gifty Gwen with Memento Ink and coloured her with Copic Markers. I have cut her out and mounted with Bazzill Raven CS. The base is simply a sheet of stunning Bazzill Glazen Raven CS {this cardstock is stunning, it has a lovely glazed damask print on it}. I have stamped the greeting from the MFT A La Modes Birthday Girl set on to white and mounted again with the black. Bazzill Wild Pansy Adhesive Jewels added to finish.

STAMPS: Some Odd Girl Gifty Gwen & MFT A La Modes Birthday Girl
COLOURING MEDIUM: Copic Markers

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Todays Some Odd Girl card features Warm Wishes Tia, this cute set is a little larger set (4x6)
I have stamped Tia onto Craftwork Cards Digital Cardstock, and coloured her with Copics. This set is fab as the accessories all work so well together...down to the little tag that can be added to the gifts.

Some Odd Girl - Photo Kaylee

Now is the time for Photo Kaylee again she has been coloured with Copics. This time the papers are all My Minds Eye, but I cannot remember which collection. I also used a film strip die like the one HERE.

These clear stamps give a fabulous impression and are such fun to colour. I love that with the main image you also get the polaroid and sentiment stamps...you even get three little icons small enough to go inside the polaroid.

Don't know about you, but I love these images, and they are great to colour.

New Instore - Some Odd Girl Clear Stamps

Tracy has just received her first order of Some Odd Girl clear stamps. This girl is called Love Letter Kaylee and I have coloured her with Copics. The papers are all My Minds Eye Stella Rose Hattie which I layered with Bazzill Kraft cardstock, and finished off with some pearl bling.

The fab thing about these new stamps is the quality of the stamped image and also that each one comes with it's own sentiment.

Tomorrow I will show you a card made with one of the others available.
