Baby Marci & Baby Mine

Happy Friday everyone! Linda here.  Just a few (well quite a few lol) hours and it will be the weekend! Yay!  This week has been soooo busy at work, you know how it is, you have some holiday and the work is all piled up and a mess to clear through when you return.  What happened to it being quieter over the Easter holidays?!

Anyway, I managed to make this card last week when I was on my hols and I have to say that I love the way it came out. Baby Marci is a fave of mine and these papers from Carta Bella....well what can I say, I had to really restrain myself from buying extra pads lol, I still may cave in, they are just sooooo pretty and such a nice change from the usual mainly pink (though there's enough pink in there too to please).

I kept my decorations fairly restrained (for me!) because I really did not want to cover too much of the lovely paper.

I've popped links to the items used at the end of my post, and if you want to know what distress ink colours I used to colour her in, you can find them on my blog here.

I do hope you like my make today, enjoy your weekend and I'll see you again next Friday! :) xx

Paper Doll Marci - Winter

Happy Friday everyone, it's Linda here on the last Friday before Christmas wheeeeeee!!

Today I'm sharing one of my last Christmas cards for the year, very soon I'll be switching to other stuff like Valentine's day and Spring cards.  I made this card for a friend who's a lover of all things slightly quirky, and I really think this stamp from La-La Land fits the bill. As usual links to products are at the end of the post.

I stamped my image with Versafine ink and coloured Marci in Distress Inks
You can find the colours used over on my blog

All papers were edged with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and hand stitched. I added lashings of Gesso to the finished creation

I tucked a little snowflake charm under the bow. The little mittens, hats and sock are a small die set from Whimsy called 'Bundled Up'.  I couldn't find it in the store, but I'm sure Tracy would order it for you if you asked her nicely.

Well that's all from me today, I'm having a little break for 2 weeks for the Christmas hols, so I wish every one of you a merry Christmas and a wonderful new year!:) xx

Colourful Party Balloons

Good Morning Everyone

For my card today I have had lots of fun playing with some wonderful new ink pads.

I have used the MFT Party Balloons stamp set. The yellow and pink balloons I stamped using some Hero Art Shadow Inks. These inks are really great for solid images, the coverage is fabulous and the colours are gorgeous. For the purple balloon I used a MFT Hybrid Ink pad, again this stamped beautifully.
The starry background was created with the same ink using a Memory Box Stencil.
The fabulous folded sentiment banner is a La-La Land die and the gorgeous Bubblegum coloured card was cut to size using a die from Die-Namics Blueprints 13.

Silver Fairy in Violet and Rose

Happy Tuesday Stampers! DT Linda here again with my regular Tuesday inspiration post, and today I'm using another of the wonderfully talented Sylvia Zet's images.  Just love her work the stamps are sooo sweet.  If you follow me on Facebook you've probably seen me share this image when I first coloured it whilst at my parents and when I chose the colours I actually had the new Pion papers in mind.  However I wasn't sure they were going to arrive in time for my make and so I went ahead and made the card up with another Pion collection....and then guess what?  Yup, those new Pion papers arrived with the postie on Saturday.  Oh well, at least I have them all ready for my next make.

This is my finished card, I used Silver Fairy, from Whimsy Stamps and the corner lace die is also made by Whimsy.  The shape is made with a Martha Stewart PATP punch set. I edged all the papers with DI in Dusty Concord.

She's coloured with my Inktense pencils plus a few watercolour pencils for the skin and hair. You can find the colours on my blog.

I finished off with this lovely bead trim and a La-La Land butterfly die.

I used more papers from the same collection to decorate the inside and give a space to write a message.

Miss Sunkissed

Happy Tuesday everyone!  DT Linda here again, did you all enjoy your May bank holiday?  I spent mine very quietly in my crafting corner mostly, but I'm really pleased with the cards I got made.

This is my very first time inking up an Elizabeth Bell image not because I don't like them but just because I've not had the opportunity to use one before, I get such limited time.  I must admit that being on Tracy's DT has been very good for breaking me out of just using the artists that I'm familiar with and my normal papers and embellishments too. I'd not been introduced to MME before I started here, and now I'm firmly addicted lol.

Anyway, my share for today is using one of the new Elizabeth Bell designs.  Links to products used are, as always at the end of my post.

These beautiful papers are MME - Lost and Found -Heirloom.  I used the matching pack of enamel dots for a perfect colour match.  The gorgeous filigree heart is from a La- La Land Crafts die.

I paper pieced her dress with some scraps of the same paper pack and stamped this Whimsy Sentiment on to a La-La Land Crafts tab. She's coloured with Copics, you can pop over to my blog for the colours and extra photos. I added a little detailing to the sleeves with liquid pearls.

Just a few flowers and some seam binding to finish and I decorated the inside of the card with another sheet from the 6 x 6 pad.  This one has a lovely sentiment and clear space on the lined paper, just perfect for adding your message. Well that's it from me today, enjoy the rest of your Tuesday and I'll see you again next week...can't WAIT to show you what I've made (yup, I made good use of the holiday weekend and it's already made lol) I really love it!
Bye for now!

Elsie with Roses

Good Morning Everyone
I hope you are all well and having a good weekend.

I have had fun making an easel card to feature a totally adorable Wild Rose Studio stamp, this is Elsie with Flowers. The gorgeous papers are from Bo Bunny, I love the colours of these. The sentiment is from Die-Namics Polka Dot Greeting, this fabulous set comes with a choice of greetings and backgrounds and is so useful. The pretty peach scalloped layer had been cut with a Tonic Studio Nesting Die
I have used a Marianne Design Die for the rolled roses and a La-La Land Die for the stitched border.

To show the sentiment

Items Used:
Stamp - Wild Rose Studio Elsie with Roses coloured with Promarkers
Impression Obsession Butterfly Set

Thank you so much for stopping by to look at my card today.
bye for now

Lollipop Girl

Happy Tuesday! It's Linda nipping in quick with my DT inspiration, and today I'm using a fabulous fun stamp from Time for Tea, available in rubber by Whimsy Stamps. I only got this through from Tracy on Saturday and I couldn't wait to use her!

Isn't she just too cute?!  Love the way her hair mimics her lollipop, so I just had to go ahead and colour a part of it the same. I thought she looked kind of like she belonged at a fairground, so I matched her to these wonderful colourful papers from MME.  I must admit that before I started DT'ing for Tracy, I'd never used a single MME paper, but I've become a bit of an MME addict! Particularly any of the Lost and Found collections....yum!
Copic colours are listed on my blog, ....or at least they will be when I find the list under the mess on my desk!

I popped a La-La Land Crafts hot air balloon die cut behind her and decorated it with these sugary sweet Prima Sugardots and popped a couple of mini ticket sentiments on the other side.  I kept embellishments simple as I didn't want to cover too much of that lush paper.

The inside is decorated very simply with some of the DP I used on the front and a few more Sugardots.  There's lots of  space for a message too.

Well that's all from me today folks, but I'll be back here next week with more inspiration.  ~Until then, enjoy your week and have fun crafting! :) xx

Winnie Peeking out the Window

Good Morning Everyone

The sentiment banner has been cut using the fabulous La-La Land Folding Banner Die. I have used a Die-Namics die for the rolled roses and the leaves are cut from a Memory Box die.

Items Used :

Papers - Maja Design Vintage Spring Basics 8 April and 9 April
Memory Box Lavish Branch

Thank you for stopping by to look at my card today.

Paisley has a Prezzie

Happy Tuesday everyone, it's DT Linda here with my usual Tuesday inspiration post and so far the week has been off to a great start, I hope you've all started the week well too.

Today I'm using one of the fabulous new Stamping Bella stamps, (as usual links to products can be found at the end of my post), Tracy has all the new ones in now and o my it was soooo hard to choose, I really want them all!

But in the end I settled on Paisley has a Prezzie, she is just so pretty and will be ideal for decorating cards for many different occasions.  I colored her up in Distress Inks today, but I'd really like to colour her up in Copics as well sometime soon.

I went with the Echo Park park (is used this on a card I did on Saturday and there was still plenty left to make this card and I still have bits left, and that was with only a part of the pack!

I used this Marianne Design Craftables die in a bit of a different way for me here, I LOVE the effect it created and I accented with a La-La Land fence. The smaller butterflies are from the sticker sheet that comes with the pack.
