Curvy Girl With A Diamond - Stamping Bella

  Hello everyone,

I hope this week is being kind to you!

Today I have a card to show you that I made a while ago, I had a complete lack of confidence about showing it to you because it was the first card I made after I broke my leg last year!
It took me ages to colour and I felt a bit out of sorts at the time!

However, I really want to share it because it is coloured with pencils - which I love doing, and was a birthday card for my son's gorgeous girlfriend Emily - and she adored it!

Gnome Gardener

 Happy Monday everyone!

Sue here today to show you a gorgeous set of gnomes by Whimsy Stamps
It is probably the worst kept secret ever but I LOVE colouring gnomes!

I experimented with this little chap by first creating the background with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide and then stamping and colouring him over the top.  (To avoid that pesky mask fussy cutting)!

He's coloured with Areteza Pencils, (I'll pop the colours at the end of this post for you)

Personally I think he looks a little pale but again, I am struggling with the light conditions here and taking photos has me tearing my hair out!

Easter Honey Bunnies!...

 Happy Sunday friends!...
Hands up! - who forgot that the clocks sprang forward an hour! /-;

I 'm here today (an hour late)!... (:
with some simple Easter cards made with quite possibly my most favourite bunny image EVER!
from fabulous
I coloured these cuties a while ago and finally found time to turn them into a set of Easter cards.

The Honey Bunnies are stamped in grey ink onto Bockingford Card.  I then masked them and gently inked the backgrounds with Catherine Pooler Inks.  (I'll try and remember which colours and guess them below for you).  I splattered a bit of water on the backgrounds to add texture.

I coloured the bunnies with Prismacolor pencils - it was a while ago and I did nt make a note of the colours at the time.  If you want to try this then perhaps practice some brown and grey blends first to see which you like!

I die cut the cards with a standard 7.5cm x 9.5cm rectangle die and added a sentiment from the Honey Bunny Stamp Set.

So - that's me with Easter covered! (:

Spring Birds - Whimsy Stamps

 Hello everyone...

I hope you are all having a good day.

I have gone all experimental today with a fab and fun stamp set from Whimsy Stamps

Let me explain the experimental bit!...

I wondered what would happen if I stamped onto a Distress Oxide background and coloured over it with pencils..?

I attempted this to avoid cutting an intricate mask - (fussy cutting is not my favourite thing)!

I was fairly happy with the result.  I discovered that the ethos is similar to colouring on Kraft card as I had to amend my colour choices to take account of the background not being white.

so - in all a worthwhile experiment and I have more to show you in the coming weeks with the same technique!
I cut a piece of white card with the
and blended Distress Oxides in Tattered Rose, Dried Marigold and Scattered Straw in opposing corners was shown.

I stamped the sweet
in black ink and coloured them with Derwent Pro Colour Pencils.  (I'll add the colours I used at the end of this post for you)

I die cut a piece of gorgeous
with the
and fixed that to the centre of the card as shown.

Then I stamped the Birthday sentiment from the
onto a
and fixed that below the Happy die cut.

Finally I added some sequins.
