Tiny Townie Garden Girl Orchid

I've used one of my older images for this bright pink card featuring Tiny Townie Garden Girl Orchid from Stamping Bella.

I've matted her to give a stencilled background using a Memory Box floral stencil and some blending brushes

Rosetta

Squirrel here today, with a scheduled post because I'm hopefully on the way for a haircut, snow permitting!

I decided to challenge myself and create something more "delicate" than usual.

The butterfly die is old but this one would work beautifully

Bitty Bears and Birthday Bears

It's time for my mid-week creation and I've been busy making a box card using Bitty Bears from MFT.  I've inked and watercoloured 5 of the bears and a few of the accessories together with a couple of items from the Birthday Bears stamp set for the flaps of my box card.

I added some Stitched Clouds from Memory Box and a 'Wishes' sentiment die. The one I used was WPlus9 but MFT Dienamics Cause for Celebration is a really close match.  The stamped 'Birthday' comes from the Birthday Bears stamp set (I used the "Birthday Bear Hugs" stamp and masked off the 'Bear Hugs' part)

The foliage around the fence is
Memory Box Lavish Branch and the fence is also from Memory Box.

Chrysanthemum Collage...

Happy Sunday everyone!
Sue here today with a card I made for our Tracy for a feature in Die Cutting Essentials magazine.

The card design is something a bit different for me and I really loved making it!

Here is a little tutorial for you which describes how I made the blended ombre background and put the card design together.

 1. Create a 14.5cm x 17cm card blank with the fold at the side.  Create a panel of purple card the same size, fix it to the card blank and set aside.  Cut a strip of polka dot card 2.cm x 16cm, and a piece of white hammer card measuring 12cm x 16cm, set aside

2. On a piece of white card measuring 10cm x 14cm blend the Tim Holtz Distress Inks in an ombre effect light to dark, Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves. Set aside.

3. With the Chrysanthemum Collage die cut the panel of white hammer card set aside earlier.  Fix this card panel on top of the ombre effect card.  Using Onyx Black ink stamp the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner of this panel as shown.  Set aside.

4. Fix the strip of polka dot card and the card design to the front of the card blank set aside earlier as shown.

Smile...

Happy Sunday everyone,

Sue here today and I hope whatever you are doing you are having a lovely day!

Here is a card I made as part of a set for our lovely Tracy to showcase some goodies from Dies To Die For in Die Cutting Essentials magazine.
I used this die in quite a different way by cutting the Chrysanthemums out individually and using Distress Ink to create a blended ombre effect on them.

If you want to find out a bit more about how I made this card then please pay me a visit at

Thank you for popping by.

Skinny Mini!

Hi everyone! Linda here. I really should have posted this last Friday, but after coming back from holiday with a nasty cold virus I just lost all my mojo at the start of last week. Felt much better at the weekend so I whipped up this.

This was such a fun little project, I found the inspiration for this from Ginger at My Sisters Scrapper and she linked to a tutorial she followed from Papercrafter 45 and that's what I mostly followed to make this. However the original mini measured 8.5 inches long and I really wanted to use up some of my 6 x 6 papers, so I adjusted the length. So I guess it's a short skinny mini :)

One thing I really loved about this project is that it doesn't use chipboard. I like chipboard but I hate wrapping it, plus not everyone has chipboard to hand or wants to buy it just to try a project, so this is a nice one to try because you can just use the kind of stuff you use on your cards.

Anyway, this is what it turned out like.

It's really difficult to photograph these, so I made a short video to show you the pages a little better.

If you want to see the video and find a link to a tutorial on how to make this just visit my blog

I used Miss Teagen Sue from Bazill Basics. I've had this collection for a while and I've made a couple of cards with it so I really wanted to use it up. This project was perfect for that as it doesn't take as much as a regular mini album.  I was a little short on pages though, so I did supplement with half a 12 x 12 page of Bo Bunny Double Dot paper, but as I say I had already made 2 cards with the pack previously.

If you wanted to you could make this mini with A4 card, but you would need to cut the measurements for the width down by a smidge, (a bit more complicated then cutting the length down due to all the folds and the scoring) but I used A3 card so was able to do the full width.

I edged everything with Walnut Stain distress ink.

That's all from me today but I hope you feel inspired to make one of these yourself, they really are tons of fun.

Paper Crush

Alrighty then, it's Faye here today and I'm treating you to a double dose of gorgeousness, with some scrummy goodies from the latest release at C.C.Designs, and papers from Simple Stories. Which, I have to say, I have a serious paper crush on. So, I think it's time for less talking and more looking...

What've we got here then? C.C.Designs Swiss Pixie Ready for Rain... soooooo cute. I've used a C.C.Designs By DIE-Zyne Half Oval Die, to pop up an oval from the back of the card to make a bit of a different card blank. And have I mentioned my Simple Stories paper crush?! This pretty paper comes from Simple Stories A Charmed Life. Lovely colours.

Ready for some more?

This project is all about my fave's. I think the Simple Stories Homespun paper pad has to be my all time favourite. I literally only have a few scraps left. C.C.Designs Swiss Pixie Banner Heidy is also possibly going into my fave's box, along with this old Simple Banner Die from Memory Box.

Anyway, all this talking about favourites has made me hungry, time for some breakfast me thinks! Have a wonderful day.

Bildmalarna - Alva Feeling

Hello and happy Sunday everyone.  It's Ann-Marie stopping by today to share some craftiness with you all.

For my make today I stamped up the gorgeous Bildmalarna 'Alva Feeling'.  She is gorgeous and lovely to colour and I teamed her up with some beautiful Glitz Design '77' papers which inspired the colour choice of my image.  I also used the Memory Box 'Diamond Background' frame and wanted it to appear twinkly with stars so once cut out I snipped it up a little and made it square, popped in on a dark blue background to represent the night sky and then added some clear gems for sparkle.  A little ribbon to finish it all off with a little bit of sparkle in the middle courtesy of an old bracelet which had broken and my card was done.   Let me show you how it turned out.  I apologise for the colour and brightness of the piccies I took them outside and the light was very dull.

Papers:  Glitz Design '77'

Okay time for me to dash.  I hope you are enjoying your weekend and thank you for taking the time to pop in.

Take care.

Casey

Happy Friday everyone. I'm really not enjoying the weather recently, it's been cold wet and miserable, just adding to my mood, so I thought I'd cheer myself up with a make in Spring like colours.

I chose to ink up Casey, from LDRS and my was she fun to colour......and so quick! Since she's just a 'floating top half, I thought I'd 'frame' her with this Memory Box die. I did a little 'out of the box' fussy cutting, so the end of her braid hung over the frame.

I've coloured Casey in Distress Ink Markers, colours used can be found on my blog here.

I added some lovely yellow and lilac trims,

The inside is decorated simply to complement the front with plenty of space for your own message.

I used the following products:

Well that's all from me today,
I'll see you again next week with more inspiration *hugs* :) xx

Stencil Glue....

Oh my!! Tracy sent me some of this amazing glue to try with my stencils.......I love it....I have one or two intricate stencils that I just haven't bothered using as I just always messed up inking them or spraying them....but this stuff is brilliant....I used one of my little sponge daubers to dab the glue onto the back of the stencil and left to dry for 5 mins until tacky as per the instructions then apply to my card and ink and splodge to my hearts content without trying to hold it in place with my fingers....then when done just peel away and TaDa!!
I have used the beautifully intricate Memory Box Delicate Butterfly Stencil for this card and also the Die-Namics Fishtail Flags Die

Have a lovely day!

Sew Lovely Vintage Violet

Happy Tuesday crafters! DT Linda here and I'm very happy to be here today to share my inspiration post with you because I really love the way this turned out. You know how sometimes you see something on someone's blog or FB and you think, wow, I would love to be able to make something like that....well when I finished this card I felt almost like that except it was my own work!  I hope that doesn't sound too vain, I'm just sooo happy with this one, it really is one of my best ever works (in my opinion).

Soooo what did I make?  Well some time ago now Tracy sent me some lovely Carta Bella papers, Sew Lovely  and though I really liked them, I really wasn't coming up with any inspiration for using them.  Then more recently I received a die set Stitched with Love  by Taylored Expressions in my DT pack to play with, I decided they were made for each other and put them together with Vintage Violet by Saturated Canary from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps.  Now I know there's nothing on this stamp to do with sewing, but she always makes me feel like she puts her outfits together from vintage buys on an old sewing machine.

Anyway, here's what I made putting them all together.

I also added a Memory Box Button Border at the top of my card. I've distressed and inked all my papers and hand stitched them with top stitch thread. Violet is coloured with distress ink, pads and markers.
Colours used can be found on my blog here.
I cut her out with a Spellbinders Reverse Wonky Rectangles nestie.

I cut all the dies cut pieces from a sheet of Bazill Basic, I'm sorry but I can't remember which colour this was, and then backed them with plain white card stock, this makes them less bendy.

Finally I decorated the inside with scraps of paper to complement the front.

I hope you like my make for today as much as I do, I only hope I can do as well on the next one!!

That's all from me for today, but I'll see you again next week, but as a heads up from next week I'll be posting on Fridays instead of Tuesdays, so until next Friday, have fun! : ) x x

'Under the Stars'

Hello everyone Ann-Marie here today to share a little craftiness with you all.

Well today I have a little something Christmassy to show you.  I know it may be a little early for some but for me I must say its been on my mind for a few weeks now that I should get started so here is my first Christmas card of the year.

First off I chose my image and I have a soft spot for Bildmalarna images so I used 'Under the Stars' and I so love this stamp.  Next I chose my papers and went with Maja Design Vintage Frost Basics '8th December' and '9th December' and these are simply beautiful folks.  I decided to distress the edges a little with my scissors and then inked over them with Tim Holtz 'Walnut Stain' distress ink.  A few dies used on my card this time so I've listed them below with links to the store as usual.  What I love about Christmas cards is I can add tons of sparkles so my card would not be complete without a dose of 'star dust' Stickles on a few edges and die cuts.

Items Used

Papers:  Maja Design Vintage Frost Basics '8th December' & '9th December'

Okay that's all from me today folks, I hope I have inspired you to get a little crafty and maybe make a start on those Christmas cards we all need to make.

Happy Wednesday.
Take care.
