Gnomie Secret...

Happy Monday friends!

I'm here to day with a card made with a beautiful new stamp from

e
I stamped these gorgeous two in
 Black MFT Hybrid Ink
and coloured them with Card d'ache Pablos pencils.

I used the
Gnomes With a Secret Matching Die
to cut the out and put them to one side while I made the background.

I cut a rectangle of Smooth Strathmore Bristol Vellum Board and blended
Cracked Pistachio and Broken China Distress Oxide over it.

I then stamped and heat embossed the
Stamping Bella - Gnome Backdrop
onto the blended background

I fixed the gnomes to the background with foam.

I used a spare piece of card blended with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide from another project and used the
Stamping Bella - Happy Dies
to create the happy sentiment.

Finally I stamped a sentiment from the
Stamping Bella Birthday Sentiment Set
onto white card and cut out the word birthday.

I fixed the sentiments to the card as shown

Finally...Heartstrings!

Hi everyone, it's Kat here!

I am mostly very speedy at using my new stash but occasionally something languishes in my new stash box for way longer than it should and that was the case with the die I used for today's card.

I've used an inlaid die cutting technique for this design as I think it looks so pretty but there are other (quicker!) ways to use this die too, such as layering the outline over some patterned paper.

If you would like more pictures and details on how I created this card, then please do pop over to visit me at Paper Firefly

Have a beautiful day!

Lovely things I used;
Heartstrings - Concord and 9th
Fancy frames squares - Sunny Studio

(I also used the Sentimental dies from Avery Elle but unfortunately they are no longer stocked at DtDF)

Coffee Sue

I've used Sue tapping away on her laptop to make a "new job" card for a friend.  Although I posted it a week ago today, unfortunately I'm not sure it's arrived in time for her first day; apparently her postie was rushed to A&E half way through his round (I suspect he collapsed under the weight of her recent craft orders) but hopefully it'll be with her soon.

Little Chickies

Happy Friday and Happy Easter, it's Kat here!

I have rather an obsession with the Mama Elephant Little Agenda stamps so today I have used the Little Chickies for a set of notelets; aren't they adorable?!

I've also used brand new sentiments from Mama Elephant and fishtail banner dies from MFT, both of which I feel are going to become essentials in my stash.

If you would like more pictures and details on how I created this card, including the Copic colours I used and a comment on the fishtail banner dies, then please do pop over to visit me at Paper Firefly

Have a wonderful day!

Special memories...

Hello everyone,

I hope it's a happy Monday!

Here's something a little different from me which I really enjoyed making!
I made this card by die cutting a
card blank and card design background.

I heat embossed the circle with the
using an embossing Pad and embossing Powder.
I fixed this to the card blank and set it aside.

Next I
heat embossed the
Beaucoup Bouquet Clear Stamps
on vellum.

The flowers were cut out with the matching
Beaucoup Bouquet Die Set

I coloured the reverse of the flowers with Copics, R35, RV95, Y38, YG67 and fixed them to the card design as shown.

I added a
Special Large Word Die cut
and stamped the memories sentiment from the
You're My Jolly Clear Stamp Set
onto a
Quick Strips Die cut.

I received a bundle of happy mail from DTDF this week (grins) so it only seemed
right to get one of my new stamps inky.

This goes to show that you can make a pretty card with only a few simple ingredients

Intermission

Morning peeps, Squirrel here full of apologies!

This week has got away from me so I will be back later on in the day with my

A Mice Time To Celebrate

I can't remember the last time that I heat-embossed, but I like the white-on-colour embossed text and decided to give it a try on today's card.  The little meecie is from my new MFT set and I love this little guy doing his happy-dance!  I've stuck the sentiment banner with foam pads and created a little wave in it by alternating raised bits with areas stuck directly onto the card.

No-lines colouring on Kraft - eek!

Hey everyone, it's Kat here!

You may remember the floral wreath stamp and die set that I was totally crushing on back in February (HERE if you missed it)...well, it's back again but with a rather different vibe this time!

I've layered the die cut wreath over an aperture and coloured the image with no-lines technique onto Kraft card  to give this a completely different feel to the previous cards.

Alway's room for more dragons!...

Hello friends!

I'm back with some more dragon cuteness!

This time from  Whimsy Stamps
I stamped this gorgeous
with Memento Expresso Truffle ink on Kraft Card and coloured him with Caran d'ache Luminance pencils
Blue - 660 Middle Cobalt, 662 Genuine Cobalt
Green - 180 Malachite Green, 214 Beryl Green, 182 Cobalt Green
Pink - 571 Rose Anthraquinone
White/Grey - 001 White, 842 Raw Umber, 906 Sepia 50%

I die cut the image with
I made a cloud template with the largest cloud die from the
and used it to create clouds on the card background by dabbing it with ColorBox Frost White ink.

I die cut two Kraft card clouds with the
and stamped the you're special sentiment on them from the
I fixed the clouds to the card design as shown and added some white dots with a white gel pen.  I also painted some parts of the dragon with liquid glitter.

I die cut a larger
and layered the card design on to it.

I used the largest
to create a circular card blank.
(Remember to place the top of the circle die above the fold of your card as it goes through your die cutting machine)!

Cutie Cats

I love these cuties from CC Designs.  It's taken me a couple of attempts to make something that I'm happy with, but that's nothing to do with the stamps, more just me getting the right layout and colouring.  Isn't his expression just adorable.
