Whimsy Stamps - Decorate a Tree Dies Set and Santa's Sleigh ATC Stamps

 Hello everyone,
I hope this week is being kind to you!

Today's card was a lot of inky fun!
I had an idea in my head when I started this card - you know how that turns out - right???
Anyway, I was pretty happy with the result in the end!

I used a couple of lovely new Whimsy Stamps products to make this card teamed up with a Slimline Die from last Christmas

First though I created some inky backgrounds to die cut the trees from with a selection of green Distress Oxides, water and mica powder.  I'll pop a link to a tutorial at the end of this post showing how I make my backgrounds.

The card background and the frame are created in the same way but with only one ink colour - Tumbled Glass.

I stamped and heat embossed in silver the gorgeous ATC Sleigh Ride Stamp

The card was put together as shown in the pic...

Whimsy Stamps Hourglass Die and Eye Scream Stamp Set

  Hello everyone...

OH MY WORD!

I have been ridiculously over excited by today's project, I literally could.not.wait. to share it with you!

I thought a mask would be such fun to make and use if you are a trick or treater!

I blame the terrifying film 'The Masque of The Red Death' for giving me this idea!

The Masque is made in black card die cut with the fa-boo-lousWhimsy Stamps
which is available in store right now!

I cut the lens with an oval die from the

The inky background is made with blended Distress Oxides, I'll pop a link to a tutorial at the end of this post for you.

I used a stamp from the spook-tacular
which I coloured with Copic Markers - I'll pop  a list of the colours I used at the end of this post.

The eyes are attached to the mask with wobble springs!

Finally I painted a skewer with black paint and fixed it to the side of the masque with tape.

I think this design would work equally as well as a slimline card if you did nt want to make a masque!

Magical Wonderland with Connected Rectangles...

Hello everyone, it's Sue here today!

Today I am showing you a card I made with a gorgeous new
Whimsy Stamps
slimline die

This die is soooo elegant and I decided to use it to make a Christmas card to contribute to my own personal 'two Christmas cards a month' challenge!
I created the inky piece of card by blending Distress Oxides in Seedless Preserves, Spun Sugar and Tattered Rose over a piece of Strathmore Bristol Vellum Card.

Then splattered the card with water and Mica Powder.  When everything was dry I splattered white paint over it.

I then die cut a piece of white hammered card with the
and trimmed the inky card so it fitted just inside it.

Then again using white hammered card I die cut the gorgeous
and trimmed and played the trees and deer behind the rectangles.  Once I was happy I glued everything down.

I stamped the Magical Wonderland sentiment from the
onto a piece of hammered card and die cut it with a

Finally I added some Glamour Dust to make the whole scene twinkle!

Snail Mail - Whimsy Stamps

 Hello Everyone!

I hope this week is being kind to you.

It's Sue here today to show you one of my favourite recent new releases from Whimsy Stamps which we have in store at our lovely Dies To Die For!

I have chosen to play with a stamp set
and a super new product,
(This is currently out of stock but should be back soon)
I created two inky piece of card by blending Distress Oxides in Mowed Lawn, Dried Marigold and Tumbled Glass over  Strathmore Bristol Vellum Card.

Then I splattered the card with water.

When everything was dry I die cut one piece of card with the
Slimline Postage Die
and then splattered white paint over it.  (I do this after die cutting as white paint leaves a slightly raised texture which I rather like and it gets crushed if you add it before die cutting!

I cut the second piece of card slightly larger than the postage die cut piece and layered them together.

I stamped the images from the Snail Mail Clear Stamp Set in black ink, coloured them with Copics and cut them out.  (I'll pop a list of the colours I used at the end of this post for you)

I fixed the images to my card design as shown.

Finally I added a sentiment from the Snail Mail set which I die cut with a die from the
Bookmark and Tags Die Set

I used the Slimline Envelope Builder Die to make an envelope in Kraft Card.  The envelope lining is a sneak peak of a paper being released soon!
