Where do the days go. I'm hoping now that the children have broken up I can get a bit more organised.
I was so busy with orders, etc and general running of the house but my youngest son Sam who had had his teacher for two years and had become very fond of him wanted me to make him a cake for his Surprise party. So here is the picture of it. I think we managed to cut it into about 80 pieces. It was rather delicious.
I had to make this cake on Monday evening. Luckily I made the actual sponge during the day as Luke (DS1) and Jordan (DS2) had a golf tournament Monday evening that started at 5 so we didn't get home until 8.15 and none of us had eaten. I started dinner when there was a knock at the door and it was unexpected visitors who just happened to bring a bottle of wine. Seeing as I hadn't eaten all day, I only needed a glass. Once they had left at 9.30 I then had to start the cake. How stressed was I!!!!
Anyway Luke came 2nd in the tournament so we were happy. The teacher loved the cake (at least that's what he said).
