Birthday Wishing

Hello peeps, Squirrel here on this damp and chilly Saturday.  My schedule has been thrown to the wind by a rather hectic and erratic work week,, but, never mind, I made it, eventually.

Something cute and fluffy for you today ......

And the things I have used are:

I hope that whatever you are doing today it involves keeping warm and lots of crafting!

Frost Loving Friends

I love the Stacey Yacula critters, especially her bunnies and pingus, so this little stamp featuring both of them is perfect for me.  I couldn't wait for next Christmas to be able to get it inky so I'm stocking up early for 2021's Christmas cards!

Dragon New Year

Hello everyone, Squirrel popping by today.  Well, despite my best intentions, this year is a continuation of last year......when you are convinced your pal's birthday is February but it isn't.  Sigh.

There actually wasn't any need for me to sign the inside, she saw "that word" and just knew!

Everything (except papers) is Whimsy today

Christmas Presents

Christmas may be over but as Santa bought me a few Christmas image stamps it would be a shame not to get a few of them inky!  He was kind enough to send me this lovely set from Colorado Crafts, and I've inked up all 3 images from it, the first being these cute critters playing with their presents.

Tea Party

SNOW!  We finally have snow (we're usually the last, or miss out entirely), so this little Squirrel was very excited to see it all beautiful, crisp, pristine, and white, this morning.  Mind you, it's all slushy and horrible now so not quite so much fun!

Anyhoo, from the sublime to the ridiculous, last week I used about a billion items on my make, this week just three.

This dinky little card features:

And that's it, just like me, short and sweet, LOL!

Woof Pack Catastrophe

Hello peeps, Squirrel here today, I hope you are all doing your best to keep safe and well in these troubling times.  For anyone who is unfortunately ill with this damnable virus, I wish you a good recovery.  For the rest of us, HANDS-FACE-SPACE, it is important, now more than ever.

Right then, on with today's make

Lots of goodies used on this one, all from DIES TO DIE FOR of course

Phew, a lot of stuff for a wee card!

Right, I'm off to rescue a pork loin joint from the oven - guess what we are having for dinner tonight!

Hugs to all

Whimsy Stamps Slimline Woodland Die

 Hello everyone!

I hope today is being kind to you!

I'm here today to show you a card I made which is something a bit different from me as there is no colouring!

That said, I had a lovely time creating the inky background and putting the design together!

I used some new release goodies from Whimsy Stamps which are now available in our store
Ingredients from Dies To Die For
I created the inky piece of card by blending Distress Oxides in Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers and Chipped Sapphire over a piece of Strathmore Bristol Vellum Card.

Then splattered the card with water and Mica Powder.

When everything was dry I die cut the card with the
and then splattered white paint over it.  (I do this after diecutting as white paint leaves a slightly raised texture which I rather like and it gets crushed if you add it before die cutting!

I then die cut a piece of white card with the same die and mounted it behind the inky die cut, showing the edge slightly like a light reflection.

Next I die cut a piece of white glitter card with the frame from the

I fixed the inky die cut behind the frame with tape and the fixed the entire design to a piece of design paper from the
Slimline Paper Pack - Frozen
I used foam tape for this to give a slight 3D effect.

Finally I added a sentiment from my current favourite sentiment set
which I stamped in grey ink onto a piece of card die cut with a

Bundles of Hugs

I've got one final page left to share with you from my planner (which turned out to be a labour of love, as the pages took a while to plan out themselves!)  This one features Bundles of Hugs from Whimsy Stamps, watercoloured as usual, and cut out using MFT Stitched Rounded Rectangle.

I thought he was a autumnal kind of image so he's been used to decorate September's page.
