Colouring Technique...

So you may has seen/heard about the "no lines" colouring technique. I had finally decided to have a try...it looks difficult...but this week I challenged myself to have a go, and today I am sharing my results.

I took one of the new Magnolia stamps...she is called Love Love Love Tilda. I have stamped her three times onto Craftwork Cards Digital Cardstock with three different coloured Memento Inks...left to right...Tuxedo Black, London Fog & Summer Sky.
Each image was coloured with Copics using the same colours so that you get a direct comparison. I am not sure which of them I prefer and that is pretty much down to personal preference...when I asked my daughter she liked the left hand image in the conventional Tuxedo Black...as for me, I am undecided.

So here is the card I made with the image...well one of them...and after all my hard work I had to use the "no lines" version...
The papers are all Cosmo Cricket Summer Love layered onto Bazzill Cardstock in Elephant I have added a doily, some stitched ribbon, a heart paperclip, a small red foam rose and a Craftwork Cards sentiment.

I would love to hear your comments...What do you think? Which version do you prefer?

I like the left hand image, cause it's clear and looks great!
Other pics look like unfinished.

I also love the left hand image...to be really honest I am not a fan of the no lines colouring....I think it is very clever but they always looks blurred to me. I prefer just original stamping and colouring. Good for you to have a go..new techniques are always fun to try x

The left image is the best.

First, your card is lovely. The elements and color are beautiful.

Second, I favor images 1 and 2 the most. I'm not a big fan of the no line look. I think it enhances the images to have the intended defined lines. Likewise, I am not a fan of adding facial features to images that don't have them (to include eye and nose shadows that were not included by the artist). Though beautifully colored, your third images just looks like a "blob" of colors rather than the cute little image that it is.

As you said, personal preference, and those are mine (smile).
