Bloomin' Lovely

Hi Everyone, it's Faye here today, on what I would describe as a slightly cool, slightly damp, Bank Holiday weekend. I always feel a little melancholy on this particular Bank Holiday, it's right on top of the children going back to school, the weather has mostly begun to break for the summer, and it feels like the beginning of the LONG road to that thing on 25 December I refuse to mention.

So, to blow those feelings away, here's a little pop of summer to bring the smiles back...

And as a further perk up, there's 15% off across the Store this weekend. Just sayin'!

Have a wonderful Bank Holiday!

Homespun mini album

Happy Friday all, Linda here!

As it's Friday it must be my turn for another DT make for Dies to Die for. This week I have another mini album to share with you, I really love making these, though they can be a bit time consuming sometimes, they are really worth it.

This one actually went together pretty quick, the page design is a simplified version of the pages  in my Say Cheese album, because I only had 1 6 x 6 paper pad to play with. I think it came out great!

This paper pad has a lot of 'homemade' elements to it and I picked up on that theme for my album and highlighted it with my choice of charms, also choosing some rustic ribbon and button twine from my stash to fit in with the whole feel of the album.

I've linked the products used at the end of my post.

If you would like to see a video of the finished album, you can find it here

Count the Stars......

Oh my laptop is a bit like me today and is on a go slow.....it has taken me ages to get it to start up!
I got all inky for my make today for this lovely Count the Stars stamp set from Die-namics
I used my Distress Inks to make the galaxy background and then stamped the sentiment with Versamark and then used white embossing powder.
Have a lovely day!

Airy Fairy Twila

Hi Everyone, it's Airy Fairy Faye here :)

That was my nickname as far back as Infant School, which should tell you two things. One. I have loved fairies for a long time. Two. I have always been 'Away' with them. So, it will now come as no surprise to you that I fell instantly in love with Fairy Twila here, from the latest Roberto's Rascals Release at C.C.Designs. I just adore the expression on her face.

The sentiment is from Your Next Stamp Whatnot Sentiments Set Four. But I have to tell you, I love pretty much every sentiment from the YNS Whatnot Sentiments! The finishing touch was a little heart from the Die-Namics Notched Tag Set. I use this sooooo much. And on that note, I'm gonna scoot off, before I get you into any other mischief...

Brittany the Birthday Girl

Hello everyone! Friday has rolled around so quickly and I'm here to share a little Uptown Girl goodness today.

Recently my sister got in touch to ask me to make a card for her partner's mother who is turning 80. Now I know you are looking at this card and probably thinking....blimey, that's a bit bright for an 80 year old lady, but I think you can enjoy things a little 'out there' whatever your age, and my sister thinks she will love it.

To be honest the whole thing just screamed bright colours at me as soon as I saw the stamp, so I just had to go with it!

So this is Brittany the Birthday Girl and I coloured her with a mix of Distress Ink and Spectrum Aquatint Markers, the new(ish) Twisted Citron distress marker was perfect for the paper I chose. I've popped a list of items used with links for you at the end of my post.

That's all from me today, see you again next week! :) xx

Your Next Stamp Set!

Hi Everyone, it's Faye here and today I am sharing two cuties I used from the same Stamp Set, let's make these bad boys work for us, hey ;)

The Stamp Set is called Balloon Buddies and is from the latest release at Your Next Stamp, it's full of lovely images, I've made two projects already and I haven't even used the balloons yet!

On this creation, I have used the flower stamp from the set and a die from Die-Namics Blueprints 26. Easy Peasy!

You wouldn't think these stamps came from the same set, would you? The project is so different, but just as fun. And on that note, I am off to have some, the boys are waiting and the sun is shining!

I Do

Morning everyone!
I made another mini album. This one uses envelopes, which I don't usually use as I prefer to make my own, but if you're in a rush they certainly help cut the time down spent making your album.

I've included a few photographs of the pages below, if you would like to see more pages or a video, pop across to my blog here. (If it isn't live yet I'm just waiting for YouTube to process the video, so check back in a bit).

Even though it's fairly simple I like the way it came out and you could fit quite a lot of photographs in this album.

I covered my album with some neutral card stock and then matted with the design papers on black cardstock. I matted the image (coloured with Copics) onto some black cardstock also and popped a die cut doily behind.

Some pictures of the inside.

I used the little tab die from Make a Card #3

On the inside back cover I cut a large heart with a Whimsy die and stamped the sentiment that comes with the image stamp.

Shoreline Treasures Waterfall Folio

Hi everyone, I know I'm not usually here on a Wednesday, but I missed my Friday post due to my daughter's visit so I'll be sharing my project this Friday instead and I thought I'd share this additional project with you today.

This is a waterfall folio and it's super easy to make, you don't have to add a stamped and coloured image to it if you don't want to, you could easily use one of the fab images from the collection.

If you want to find out more about how to make one of these, just follow the link to my blog where I will share the tutorial I used.

I have a video of this project over on my blog.

Anyway, this is what I made.

All my edges are inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink for a slightly vintage feel.

I used the following products on my make:

La-La Land Crafts Under the Sea Dies
(just released by La-La Land, should be in the shop soon)

That's all from me today, I hope you enjoyed my project and that it inspired you to make something yourself :) xx

Boo-licious treats...

Hi everyone!! Lou in for you today!!

I had to get fiddling with that Frightfully Fun stamp set again!! I just can't stop thinking of bits to make with it!!

Again, IKEA came to my whims of what I needed to make with a set of stacking gift boxes just screaming out to be spooked up!! I grabbed the purple one and got busy with some mossy stuff I got from the Range and then it was time for some embossing fun for the little stars. I love that all these little scene building bits come in this set. I stamped the lil ghosties and curled them round my dowel before popping them on with some foam.

The Frightful Fence die is still getting some hammer! I glued it around the lid of the box so the lid is all one cute little piece of fun when its off! LOVE IT!!!

I fussy cut a little banner for that fabulous sentiment and rolled it around my dowel to get it looking all funky!!

Mo even made me a super cute little skull out of clay to include in our little photo set up!! he he he!!

Thank you for popping in
Hugs Lou xx

Celebrate

Hi Everyone, it's Faye here today :)

So, Shaker Cards. Everyone seems to be doing them right now. Not wanting to buck a trend, I thought I'd make a sparkly little number. Especially as I needed an Anniversary Card. And we all know how much I love those. Right up there with Christmas Cards, but don't get me started on that!

Did I mention how much I love the Die-Namics Blueprints 26 Set? I am sooooo all over it right now! In fact when it comes to Product Crushes, Die-Namics often has me swooning. Die-Namics Heart Stax. Nuff said. Now, I've used a chipboard sentiment, but Poppy Stamps has two gorgeous Celebrate Dies, which are virtually identical to my chipboard; Poppy Stamps Decor Celebrate and Poppy Stamps Fancy Celebrate. If you want to give the die the feel of a chipboard, cut it out several times and layer them together. Job done!

Lou in with a post for you this morning. Today I have combined one of my digital images from Mo's Digital Pencil with some of my fav dies ever from the shop! its sooo much fun to do this and I panic that we sometimes forget to showcase how we do that with our bits and bobs from the shop.

Please pop over to my blog for more details on how I made this cutie for my lil guy.

Lucy with Teddy

Hi Everyone, it's Faye here today, with a hefty dose of cute :)

See, told you. Hefty dose of cute. Don't you just want to give Lucy a massive bear hug?

So, I'm in love with Die-Namics Blueprints 26. The outer die is such a great card shape. I had planned to use the 'happy' as the sentiment from the same set on this card, but went a bit off piste last minute with some chipboards I have. I wanted to make a little rainbow and used one of the borders from Die-Namics Stitched Basic Edges to build my own and finished it off with one of the adorable clouds from By DIEzyne Dotted Wings and Puffy Things, so it matches Lucy's t-shirt. Job done!
