Candy Canes in Pink

Wheeee! DT Linda here,  it's Friday again, I've been horribly unwell this week (I even took a couple of days off work sick, which rarely happens), but it's almost the weekend and I'm here with my regular Dies to Die for post. Well I know it's Halloween, but it's another Christmas card from me, I do hope you're not getting tired of these lol, but I promise I have some non Christmas creations coming up as well!

This is another Little Darlings Rubber Stamps - Saturated Canary image, she's called Candy Canes.  Now I have to say it wasn't originally my intention to go monochrome with this, she just turned out that way, but I really like the effect. Don't you just love her hair? It reminds me of Mr Whippy ice cream lol  just substitute a couple of chocolate flakes for the Candy Canes hehe.

I've popped a list of products used, along with some links at the end of my post.

I matched her with some gorgeous Maja design papers from the Vintage Frost Basics collection, and coloured her with Distress Inks. Colours used can be found on my blog here.

I added this lovely MFT Snowflake Doily behind her.

I kept the inside quite simple, as by this time I was feeling very poorly indeed.

Stamp: Candy Canes
MFT Sowflake Doily Die
Reverse Wonky Rectangles
Maja Vintage Frost Basics-3rd December
Maja Vintage Frost Basics-5th December
Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Candy Cane Charm

I hope you like her and that she's inspired you to make a start on those Christmas cards if you haven't already.  TTFN! :) xx

Snowflakes....

Oh I am so late today.....I had a pretty stressful week last week for reasons that I won't bore you all with but cardmaking was waaayyyy down the list.  So it was a quick aarrgghh I need a card for my post.......this took probably not even half an hour to make....great for if you need to make a card in a hurry!
I have used 2 colours of Distress Ink to make the background and then these gorgeous Marianne Design Snowflake dies...really wishing now that I had cut them from sparkly card instead of plain....next time!
and then a few sequins added from my stash to the centre!
I am thinking you could use this style for loads of different dies....flowers, stars, numbers....I could go on but I think you get the idea!
I hope you like!

Bildmalarna - Alva Feeling

Hello and happy Sunday everyone.  It's Ann-Marie stopping by today to share some craftiness with you all.

For my make today I stamped up the gorgeous Bildmalarna 'Alva Feeling'.  She is gorgeous and lovely to colour and I teamed her up with some beautiful Glitz Design '77' papers which inspired the colour choice of my image.  I also used the Memory Box 'Diamond Background' frame and wanted it to appear twinkly with stars so once cut out I snipped it up a little and made it square, popped in on a dark blue background to represent the night sky and then added some clear gems for sparkle.  A little ribbon to finish it all off with a little bit of sparkle in the middle courtesy of an old bracelet which had broken and my card was done.   Let me show you how it turned out.  I apologise for the colour and brightness of the piccies I took them outside and the light was very dull.

Casey

Happy Friday everyone. I'm really not enjoying the weather recently, it's been cold wet and miserable, just adding to my mood, so I thought I'd cheer myself up with a make in Spring like colours.

I chose to ink up Casey, from LDRS and my was she fun to colour......and so quick! Since she's just a 'floating top half, I thought I'd 'frame' her with this Memory Box die. I did a little 'out of the box' fussy cutting, so the end of her braid hung over the frame.

I've coloured Casey in Distress Ink Markers, colours used can be found on my blog here.

I added some lovely yellow and lilac trims,

The inside is decorated simply to complement the front with plenty of space for your own message.

I used the following products:

Well that's all from me today,
I'll see you again next week with more inspiration *hugs* :) xx

Kimono Marci

Hello everyone Ann-Marie popping in today to share a little something with you all.

I've gone a little oriental today and used a fab La La Land image 'Kimono Marci with Fan' and she's so cute and on offer over in the store too.  I thought I would do a little paper piecing for a change so her outfit has been paper pieced and also her fan.  I had an idea to use the Cheery Lynn Spring Oval Frame die but cut it up into sections to make a fan shape behind my image and added a little ribbon to finish it off.

Stencil Glue....

Oh my!! Tracy sent me some of this amazing glue to try with my stencils.......I love it....I have one or two intricate stencils that I just haven't bothered using as I just always messed up inking them or spraying them....but this stuff is brilliant....I used one of my little sponge daubers to dab the glue onto the back of the stencil and left to dry for 5 mins until tacky as per the instructions then apply to my card and ink and splodge to my hearts content without trying to hold it in place with my fingers....then when done just peel away and TaDa!!
I have used the beautifully intricate Memory Box Delicate Butterfly Stencil for this card and also the Die-Namics Fishtail Flags Die

Have a lovely day!

Morning everyone!
Its Lou in with a make for you this morning!!

I am loving making little tags at the minute using my Die Namics Blueprints 9 set. Its just perfect for adding a normal sized stamped image too with room left to play!!

I went for a fairly quiet 2 colour combo for this one with a little  brown inked edge to match her brown hair using my Tim Holtz Frayed Burlap distress inks.

When I stamped my sentiment I added one of the extra little hats to the tippy top of the d on good and f in friends, I love it! it looks so cute!!

Vintage Pion Christmas Card

Good morning and happy Friday!
It's Linda here and today I'm showing you another vintage style Christmas card made without a stamped and coloured image, really useful for when you're a bit more pushed for time and also really lovely to look at I think.
This was made for a lady in the USA who bought the card I shared a few weeks ago and wanted some other similar ones, so I made 3 more, all different but of the same kind of style.

I've popped a list of products used at the end of my post with links for you.

As usual I inked, distressed and hand stitched all my layers. I added a little frantage to the picture to add to the vintage feel. I popped a postcard from the tags sheet behind the frame, this also adds a Christmas sentiment without the need for a stamp.

I added flowers, pearls and pearl trim and even a little fir cone to add to the Christmasy feel. The Snowflake Doily cut with a Whimsy die.

I finished off the oval frame with some liquid pearls and I popped a little Father Christmas charm under the bow to finish it off.

The inside is decorated simply with a couple of pieces of matching paper, with plenty of room to write a message, and a few flat back pearls.

That's all from me today, thank you so much for dropping by and I'll see you again next week :) xx

Saturday Birthday

Hello everyone and a very happy Thursday to you.

For my little piece of inspiration this week I thought I would decorate up a little gift bag.  I've been meaning to do this for a while as it's my daughter's birthday in a few weeks and thought I would fill it lots of girlie smellies for her.  I also thought that the Little Darlings Saturated Canary image 'Saturday Birthday' would work beautifully so inked her up with a lighter ink again and coloured with my usual copics and great news is she is on offer in the store at the moment too.  After much deliberation I chose to use some gorgeous Teresa Collins papers called 'Daily Stories' and I really do love the fresh colours in this set and that's where I got my colour inspiration from for the image.

Okay that's it from me today.  Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy your week.

Take care.
