Days of Winter

Happy Friday everyone! It's Linda here. Well I'm so glad that the weekend is almost with us, I've been struggling to shake off this cold all week, thought I'd got rid of it but it seems to be lingering so hopefully I can relax and shrug it off completely with some rest at the weekend.

Anyhooooo on to why I'm here and unusually for me my card does not have a stamped and coloured image, that's really rare for me, I do it from time to time but I think in a year of blogging this is only the 3rd time that my project does not have a hand coloured image on, but I was in need of saving some time as being ill had really put me behind with my makes.  Having said that, I really love the look of this vintage Christmas card and it was certainly a time saver, so you may well see more like this from me in the future, now and then.

As usual I  hand stitched my layers, I also distressed them and inked them with Walnut Stain DI.

The beautiful papers are the new Days of Winter collection from Pion Design.

There are links to products available in the store at the end of my post.

I do hope you like my share today, why not give it a try yourself?

Happy crafting! : ) x x

Mimosa - Winter Birds

Hello everyone it's Ann-Marie here popping in to share some Christmas inspiration with you.

I've gone all traditional today and used a colour palette of red and green with a splash of gold inspired by some My Mind's Eye papers 'Vintage Christmas' and these are beautiful.  For my image I used a Bildmalarna stamp 'Mimosa - Winter Birds' and she is definitely one of my favourites I can see her being used quite a bit.  To embellish my card I added some beautiful ribbon, twine and a few little jingly bells and those gorgeous roses were made from the Cheery Lynn 'Tea Rose Small' die and the fab leaves were on the same die and they cut so well.  I was really impressed with how they turned out and how easy they were to make.

A close up of the gorgeous roses.  Just love them think I may spend an afternoon just making lots of them in different colours!

Last piccie is a close up of the image.  She is so adorable and as usual she has been coloured with my copics and I'm really happy with how she turned out.

Yoga Mamma....

Stamp - Yoga Mamma.

Morning all! its Lou in with a calm and relaxing make for you today!!

Our Jane has got me all hooked on smaller projects this week after her ATC's ans I was in a Blueprints 9 tag  die kind of a mood!!
I actually adore this set because you can dress the tag up with the little border dies, I just flipped my double sided Doodlebug paper to do that. The bottom layer is the die cutting some packing corrugated card ( thankies Amazon!!) then I cut my patterned paper and trimmed of 1/4cm on every edge to get that wonderful border layer feel with the brown.

There was enough left to cut the little stitched border strip and the 'breathe' letters.
I coloured her up with my promarkers and I was in funky hair mood!! so pink hair she got! romfl!! well, it matched the papers!! he he he!!

Have a wonderful day everyone, thank you for popping in

Quick and Easy Make.....

Goodness Sunday has come round fast again! DT Jane here and I have a pretty quick and easy make today as the contents of my cupboard are currently all over the place as I am having a clearout and tidy up!
I don't know how many of you use Pinterest....I spend hours on it pinning crafty ideas and so far have tried none!! My Home/Garden/Etc should be perfect with all my pins and boards! lol So I am determined to try and have a go at one, at least, every week!
And this is my first one.....
Little light shades made from paper and sat on a wine glass! We have some gorgeous 12x12 sheets in the shop and some are reduced too!!
Here is a pic with the candles lit, I punched a few wee holes into the paper to let some light come through.
I really hope you like them and feel inspired! I am thinking some lovely Festive papers for the dining table at Christmas!

Happily Ever After - Again

Happy Friday everyone! It's Linda here.  If you're in the UK I hope you're looking forward to a lovely long 3 day weekend, so glad I no longer have to work bank holidays like a few years back.

Today I'm showing a wedding card that I made at the request of my daughter's friend, using Tiddly Inks' Happily Ever After ...and yes I know I've used this a few times now, but I actually don't have many 'wedding' or couple stamps and this stamp is on of my favourite images ever.

I used some lovely Pion Papers from the Flower Frame collection. I also paper pieced the brides Dress. All papers were edged with Distress Ink and then hand stitched. I coloured the stamp with distress inks (apart from a couple of Copics on the paper pieced dress), all the colours used and several more pics and all details can be found on my blog here.
I finished her dress with a glue pen and some glamour dust to simulate sequins and beads.

I mounted the couple on a couple of Pierced Oval frames and slipped a couple of Heart Doily die cuts behind it. Can you spot the little love bird charm nestling beneath the flowers at the top right? I used one of the Fairy Tale Dreams sentiments and the matching die.

I decorated the inside with more of the same papers, the piece with the flower frame makes a lovely place to write a message.

Well that's all from me today, enjoy your weekend and I'll be back next Friday with some more inspiration to share :) xx

Yvonne....

Hi everyone!
Monday again so its little ole me, Lou, in with a share for you today.

I decided to go with 'Yvonne'. I don't know why I love this rubber stamp so much but she is just so fabulous and I love that she has a real woman figure! I love that!!

I coloured her up with my promarkers and then it was time to sploosh some papers together. The MME 6x6 Unforgettable pad made that super easy so a bit of roughing up the edges and a few of those delicious Prima Camille flowers to the bottom corner. I tucked in a La La Land heart doily too, well its too cute to miss out!!!

Recently I have been trying to ease myself out of adding sentiments to my cards, its a really tough thing to teach myself to do but I do love the fact that its an open event card if you do that! then you can just add the sentiment when you need it!!

Thank you for popping in

SC Shay.....

Good Norning! DT Jane here.......horrible windy wet day here in Fort William, a day for hiding in my cupboard making cards I think! One more day and then I am back to work after being off for the summer hols...boo!
Anyways on to my card!  I have used the cute wee Shay for my card today from the Little Darlings Saturated Canary Range....and I have coloured her with my pencils....I have kept it all pretty simple as these papers are gorgeous and I couldn't bear to cover them up with embellishments! They are BoBunny Isabella....the tiny details on the papers are so beautiful, I don't know if you can make out in the pic below the wee cluster of butterflies in the corner......just gorgeous....can you tell I love papers!
Thanks for stopping in!

Twinkle Toes for a Special Someone

Happy Friday! DT Linda here. This is my first post for Dies to Die for in my new Friday spot, I've moved from Tuesday since Friday became vacant as it works out a little easier for me with other postings and my family and social stuff.  Talking of family, the card I'm sharing today was made for my beautiful daughter's birthday which was on Monday.  She's 25, blimey that really makes you feel old when your 'baby' turns a quarter of a century lol.

Anyway, this is what I made for her, I thought Twinkle Toes form Whimy's Time for Tea collection, was quite appropriate as she did loads of dancing and dance competitions when she was younger, so she really was a Twinkle Toes hehe.

I used the My Precious Daughter collection from Pion Design (love this collection and also the new Pion Christmas collection, Days of Winter,  which Tracy now has in stock in the store here. Expect a make from me with these new papers soon, they're lush!), I thought these papers were very fitting for a card for my daughter as well as being downright gorgeous. I mostly used the 12 x 12 versions. The beautiful border at the top is cut with the MFT Crown Border

I coloured her with distress inks, full colours used plus more photos and details can be found on my blog.

She's mounted on some pierced ovals cut with the Pierced Ovals Stax from MFT. I dotted her around with some Liquid Pearls.

I inked all the edges of my papers with Distress Ink in Walnut Stain, before distressing them and hand stitching them with top stitch thread. The little banners on the top left were cut with the Jumbo Fishtail Banner Stax from MFT. Flowers are a mix of Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts.
I cut a little butterfly and a pair of tickets from the element sheet and added them to my card.

Finally I decorated the inside with a piece from one of the 6 x 6 sheets to match the front and stamped a Happy Birthday to You sentiment from the Impression Obsession  Life Stuff Sentiments set.

Well that's all from me today but I'll be back next Friday with something new for you.
Have fun! : )  x x

Pion Design - Shoreline Treasures

Hello everyone and a very happy Wednesday to you all.  It's Ann-Marie here as it's my turn to post something for you today.

Okay so you know when you have a card to make for someone and you're not quite sure what to do for them as you know they don't do girly and flowery and cute.  Well I had one of those I needed to make so here is what I came up with.

I know she likes her animals and her favourite colour is blue so what did I do I turned to Pion Design 'Shoreline Treasures' papers of course!! I used Shoreline Treasures 'Iris Sibirica' and 'Bottom of the Sea' and used my Spellbinders die to cut the image from a tag on the 'Shoreline Treasures Tags' sheet and layered them up using the dies and foam pads for depth.  I added some 'Western Eyelet Trim' ribbon to soften it a little together with some blue ribbon and a big bow.  It was missing just a little something when I put it all together so just added four My Mind's Eye 'Just Splendid' wooden dots which finished the card off lovely.

It’s A Breeze :)

Good morning sweet peeps.
Dawny P here with a spot of Thursday cardage for you.

And ….

… this is the very chap here.

The super sweet  image I used is called Breeze and she is one of the new CC Designs images.

I coloured her with the following Copics -

Skin E000, E00, E13, R00, R02,
Hair E31, E35, E39, E50
The rest E30, E31, E35, E50, G99, V000, V04, V06, V12, V15, V91, V95, YG00, YG03, YG95

The pretty paper is Maja Design - Coffee in the Arbour - Grandma's Old Porcelain.

I really struggled to choose which side of this paper to use as they are both so gorgeous.
Mrs Predictable wanted the plaid and Mrs Dosomethingdifferentforachange  wanted the floral.

Mrs Predictable won.

She usually does!!!!

The bloom was made using Marianne Design Creatables - Flowers Style 1  and Marianne Design Creatables - Flower – LR0107 dies.
Apols for the blurry pic!!).

I printed the sentiment out and added the little flourish from the Marianne Design Creatables - Flowers Style 1 set

The little clouds are Joy Crafts Clouds – sooo sweet : )

Full deets can be found over at my blog

So there you are for another week.
I’ll see you next Thursday but till then, have the best weekend and hugs to all xxx

Well I really couldn't resist using these absolutely gorgeous Pion Design Precious Daughter papers again I am so smitten with them!  So what did I do with them well I decided I didn't want to just make a card so I made a little wall hanging from a 6 x 6 canvas I had lying around and which I thought would just go lovely in my daughter's bedroom.  Here's some piccies and the links to the goodies used:-

Sew Lovely Vintage Violet

Happy Tuesday crafters! DT Linda here and I'm very happy to be here today to share my inspiration post with you because I really love the way this turned out. You know how sometimes you see something on someone's blog or FB and you think, wow, I would love to be able to make something like that....well when I finished this card I felt almost like that except it was my own work!  I hope that doesn't sound too vain, I'm just sooo happy with this one, it really is one of my best ever works (in my opinion).

Soooo what did I make?  Well some time ago now Tracy sent me some lovely Carta Bella papers, Sew Lovely  and though I really liked them, I really wasn't coming up with any inspiration for using them.  Then more recently I received a die set Stitched with Love  by Taylored Expressions in my DT pack to play with, I decided they were made for each other and put them together with Vintage Violet by Saturated Canary from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps.  Now I know there's nothing on this stamp to do with sewing, but she always makes me feel like she puts her outfits together from vintage buys on an old sewing machine.

Anyway, here's what I made putting them all together.

I also added a Memory Box Button Border at the top of my card. I've distressed and inked all my papers and hand stitched them with top stitch thread. Violet is coloured with distress ink, pads and markers.
Colours used can be found on my blog here.
I cut her out with a Spellbinders Reverse Wonky Rectangles nestie.

I cut all the dies cut pieces from a sheet of Bazill Basic, I'm sorry but I can't remember which colour this was, and then backed them with plain white card stock, this makes them less bendy.

Finally I decorated the inside with scraps of paper to complement the front.

I hope you like my make for today as much as I do, I only hope I can do as well on the next one!!

That's all from me for today, but I'll see you again next week, but as a heads up from next week I'll be posting on Fridays instead of Tuesdays, so until next Friday, have fun! : ) x x

Little Indian

Hey Lovelies, Happy Friday! Its with a heavy heart I write this post, as its my last for Dies to Die for. I am trying to make a bit more time for family stuffs, but I am going to miss all my lovely teamies so much. Thank you so much for having me Tracy <3

So on to my card. Its another cute little boy card again. I used the sweet little Indian Warrior from Nellie Snellen.

I have coloured him up with my copics, and matched him with Echo Park Thats my boy papers. I had to hold myself back from the flowers as its a boy's card. so I did another little button arrangement instead.

Hope you all have a super fab weekend. xxx
