'Under the Stars'

Hello everyone Ann-Marie here today to share a little craftiness with you all.

Well today I have a little something Christmassy to show you.  I know it may be a little early for some but for me I must say its been on my mind for a few weeks now that I should get started so here is my first Christmas card of the year.

First off I chose my image and I have a soft spot for Bildmalarna images so I used 'Under the Stars' and I so love this stamp.  Next I chose my papers and went with Maja Design Vintage Frost Basics '8th December' and '9th December' and these are simply beautiful folks.  I decided to distress the edges a little with my scissors and then inked over them with Tim Holtz 'Walnut Stain' distress ink.  A few dies used on my card this time so I've listed them below with links to the store as usual.  What I love about Christmas cards is I can add tons of sparkles so my card would not be complete without a dose of 'star dust' Stickles on a few edges and die cuts.

Items Used

Papers:  Maja Design Vintage Frost Basics '8th December' & '9th December'

Okay that's all from me today folks, I hope I have inspired you to get a little crafty and maybe make a start on those Christmas cards we all need to make.

Happy Wednesday.
Take care.

Goldie Locks

Morning folks! It's Tuesday and that means it's Linda here with my inspiration post.  I'm very late getting finished and barely have any time so this will be a brief post with no drivel from me lol.

This week I coloured up an older Elisabeth Bell stamp called Goldie Locks.  Tracy has these older ones on sale in the shop, so it's worth having a look and picking up a bargain.

I used the lovely A Day in May collection of papers by Pion Design and coloured her with distress inks. The card is lovely and subtle but sadly it's looking a little washed out in the photos. I've distressed, inked and stitched all my papers.

I popped a Heart Doily from La-La Land Crafts behind her . On the other side is a little stack of banners cut with MFT's Jumbo Fishtail Banner Stax.  I dotted a few of MME's Dots, these are Necessities - Wood and they really do look like wood, sooooo cute.

Well that's all from me this week, this humid weather is really knocking my mojo recently, but I'll be back next week to share some more inspiration.  Stay cool and have fun!

Linda :) xx

… you can see it on here.
I thought it was too good not to use.

I haven’t used it for a while I now but I thought it had been idle for long enough!!
Yes I’m talking about the good old
Magnolia Doohickey Leaf and Swirl die.

In fact, I thought that as it had been slacking for soooo long, I would use it twice : )

So that’s my card for today and thank you so much for stopping by.
Full details can be found on
my blog.

Have a fabulous day, stay cool and I’ll see you next week.
Hugs, Dawny xx

Pink and Purple Mini Flutters

Good Morning Everyone

For today's card I have used a fabulous stamp set from The Greeting Farm called Mini Flutters. In this set you get 5 different patterned butterflies, a sentiment and a matching die. Also, I have just spotted it's in the sale at the moment too!
The pink butterflies were stamped using Hero Art Shadow Ink. These inks are really great for solid images, the coverage is fabulous and the colours are gorgeous. For the purple butterflies I used a MFT Hybrid Ink pad which also stamps beautifully.

I will show the side view first so you can hopefully see the dimension. The circle aperture has been raised with foam pads which is hard to see on my photo!

A Little Thursday Blossom

Good morning sweet peeps, Dawny P here and a very happy Thursday to everybody x

The card I’m sharing today features the little cutie above.

She is CC Designs - Pollycraft – Blossom and I coloured her with these Copics -

Skin – E000, E00, E13, R00, R02
Hair – E31, E35, E39, E50
The rest – B63, BG0000, BG10, BG15, R00, R02, R05, YG00

The papers are from the new Echo Park - Simple Life - Dots & Stripes 6 x 6 Pad – drool slurp at the colours in these!!!

I actually used an Impression Obsession die here – it’s the Square Cutout Border die.
I curled it slightly then stuck it down so that it bevelled in the middle.
Then I promptly covered it up with some chopped up leaves cut with a
Memory Box Lavish Branch and some little Wildflower Patch flowers.

Am I the only one that does that???
Sometimes even I don't understand myself!!!!

So that’s my card and if you want more details, then please pop across to my blog .

Thank you so much  for stopping by and have a great day.

Huggiest of hugs to all,

Dawny P xx

A little bit of Pion Design

Good morning folks, Ann-Marie popping in to wish you a very happy Wednesday and to share a little crafty inspiration with you all.

My card today has been made using some beautiful Pion Design papers.  I didn't use a stamped image but used the Pion Design 'Shoreline Treasures - Iris Sibirica' and cut out the iris from the paper with my Spellbinders die.  I also used Pion Design 'Shoreline Treasures - Seahorse' papers and matted them onto some blue card.  I used my favourite corner flourish Cheery Lynn 'Victorian Romance Flourish' I so love this die its just so pretty and also an Impression Obsession 'Love Birds' die and inked up the edges with Tim Holtz 'Walnut Stain' distress ink.  To add a little sparkle I added some glitter accents with 'Star Dust' Stickles.  Once I'd decided where everything was going this card didn't really take that long to make it was just a case of sticking everything into place.  I think I may give this one to my aunt for her birthday in a couple of days as blue is her favourite colour and all.

Right that's all from me today, enjoy your Wednesday folks.

Take care.

Yuki & Serenity

Good morning! It's DT Linda here and that must mean that it's Tuesday...again...I don't know about you but the weeks seem to be whizzing by for me.  Looking at my DT diary I seem to be busy right up to September, but I do have a little holiday booked then and shall be taking a week off!

For my card today I chose to use a LDRS Saturated Canary stamp called Yuki. One thing I love about this stamp is that I've seen her used by various people and she always looks really different depending on how she's coloured up, colours, medium etc.  Since she has a Japanese name I decided to go with an Asian skin and hair tone and matched her to these beautiful papers by Bo Bunny, called Serenity. Totally not my usual type, but oh my I just love them.

I coloured her with Copics to match the papers, she has a great outfit that can take several different colours without looking like she's just thrown up on herself lol. For the Copic colours I used, please pop across to my blog here.

I added a touch of glamour dust to the lace ruffle on her skirt.

The black frame she's on is cut with the 2nd largest dies from the Simply B Scallops set. The lovely brad on the bow is MME -Lush. Sadly the black ones are out of stock now, but you can still get them in Pink, Green, Brown or Blue.

I thought that the Cherry Blossom Branch die from La-La Land Crafts, was very in keeping with the papers and I cut 2 in black card stock and popped them down in opposite corners, adding a few little self adhesive pearls.

I really LOVE the way this turned out, just goes to show it's always worth stepping out of your comfort zone now and then and working with something a little different.

That's all from me today but I'll be back as usual next week with some more inspiration :) xx

Little Dawn :)

Good morning sweet peeps.
Dawny P
here and a happy Thursday to everybody.

My card for today features a very sweet lil poppet called Dawn : )

She’s Little Dawn to be exact (oooh I wish!!) and she’s a Nellie Snellen image.

Her full title is Little Dawn - Watering and here’s …..

… what I made with her.

I coloured her with the following Copics -

Skin – E000, E00, E13, R00, R02
Hair – E31, E34, E35, E50
The rest – E30, G0000, G000, G21, G94, YG00, YG03, YG95, YR02, YR04, YR20, YR61

and I outlined her with Glamour Dust.

The papers are from an Echo Park Sweet Day 6x6 Pad – such sunny colours : )

I thought I’d add a few clouds to mirror the paper here and these were made using the Joy Crafts Clouds set.
I gave them a bit of bling as well (sometimes I just can’t help myself!!).

These blooms were made from the paper pad and I used a Die-namics Rolled Daisy die.
You can just about see the
Francesca Border here and there’s also some leaves which I punched from a Martha Stewart Punch - Frond Branch.

For other details, please nip over to my blog.

Right I’m done and I’ll see you next week. Have a great weekend – it will be here before you can say ‘tomorrow’s Friday’ : )

Take care and huggiest of hugs to all,

Dawny xx
