CAS Male Birthday

Hi there, sorry for being absent last week but unfortunately I have been having problems with my hands. Anyway, here is my card I have made for the lastest Die-Ing For A Challenge which is 'Anything Goes'. For my card I have used the Lily Bee Designs Persnickey Tiny Tablet for the papers and cut the middle panel at a diagonal. The sentiment from the MFT Die-Namics First Place Award set has been stamped in Memento Gray Flannel ink. The papers have been wrapped with natural twine (from DTDF but unable to link at present), tied with a button and added to the base with 3D adhesive.

SUPPLIES:

+ Natural Twine from DTDF

Thanks so much for visiitng us today!

TGF Cheeky Geeky...

So following on from Lou, I thought I would show you another style of bookmark...and it's my favourite one to make.

I have used a cute stamp from The Greeting Farm called Cheeky Geeky. She is stamped onto Craftwork Cards Digital Cardstock using Momento Ink in Tuxedo Black, and coloured with Copics.

I have used up scraps to make the bookmark the biggest piece you need is the cardstock measuring 4x4 inches. They are a great way to use up scraps and the kids love them...I have lost count of the number I have made and then given to my daughters friends for their birthdays. This time I have used scaps of red cardstock and scraps of My Minds Eye Lost & Found 3 - Ruby. Embellished with some seam binding, a sticker and a sentiment made with a Dymo style machine.

If you want instructions leave a comment with your email address and I will send you them.

A cutie bookmark!!

Morning all!!
its Lou in with a make for you again and this week I had another bookmark to make so I thought I would share it with you all.

I always like to try something a little different so I cut out my bookmark using the Die-namics bookmark and die stamp set and then stamped on my cute little Bildmarlana mimosa hat stamp. I coloured her up and then snipped a couple of little holes around her hands to thread some blue paper cord through to make a little pretend wall, the stones in the wall are just me doodling with my promarkers but they turned out so nice. I coloured a bit of grass in and dotted some white pen for little teeny flowers.

I stamped the circle from the set up at the top of the bookmark and then using Die-namics Layered Rose I cut and  layered up the flower and added a flat backed pearl to the centre to make it pop!! Then I cut an extra one and tied it onto some twine so that it can hang out of the book page.

So thats me for today!! Now while I am here I just want to let you all know about our new DTDF Creation Station facebook page that we have set up for you all to share your makes using products you have bought from the Dies to Die For shop, so please pop in and join the group!!

Right time for a cuppa for me!!

December Challenge Winner...

I just realised that I never announced the winner of the December Challenge..

The winner is...

Kat, please contact me at caroline.sears@btinternet.com and I will pass your details over to Tracy.

Call Me Maybe...

Hope everyone is staying nice and warm during this rather cold snap we seem to have in the UK at the moment. We still have about 5-6 inches of snow laying around...hopefully by the weekend it should start to melt.

So I finally decided to ink up on of the recent stamps from The Greeting Farm called Anya Styles...
She was stamped using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black onto Craftwork Cards Digital Cardstock, and coloured with Copics. The papers are all by Echo Park from the Yours Truly pad (last years Valentines range). As soon as I saw her I thought of Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" so added that to the journal card from that range....with a little Dymo added to finish the sentiment off. The banner was also done with bits from the same line and added with some Bakers Twine called Divine Twine in Peppermint. Anya has been trimmed and added to the card using 3D foam pads.

Hope you all have a fab week...and make sure you stay safe and warm in the snow/cold.

A bit of felt and Die-Namics!!

Morning all!!!

And you thought dies were just for paper?!! lol!!! I made this a little while ago but haven't shared it over here and I had too much making it to not enable you all!!

I had had some felt just sitting in my cupboard for at least a year!! do any of you ever do that?!! it needed to be used and my Die-namics dies were just sitting there and I thought I would give it a go! and i didn't need to worry! they cut like a dream!!

I used my yummy Die-namics dies .. fish tail flags layers stax die-namics. The roses are made with my Die-namics Mini Royal Rose!! and one of the flowers on my Tim Holtz tattered florals for the leaves. I sat and hand stitched the pink and green felt together, I love stitching, its so relaxing and then I hot glued my roses together and added a little gem to the centre of each one.

I cut 'LILY' out with my Tim Holtz chip block alphabet strip die and attached that with hot glue too. I positioned the roses up at the top so that when it is in a book it won't slip down and loose the page!

have a great day!!

hugs Lou xx

Words mean things....

Twine
Morning Peeps!!
I hope you are having a wonderful monday, its Lou in with a post for you this morning.

So this morning make is a bit of a memory one for me. One of my crafty goals this year is to make a card/ scrap page inspired by a memory or moment that means a lot to me. When I was at school I had the most awesome teacher, Mrs. Hutchison and she had a beautiful way with words and the way she read stories and sang used to be so magical to me so this card is made with her fully in mind.

I used the carta bella alphabet junction papers because it is a childhood memory, trimmed down my base papers and ripped a little tear into at the top, curling the edges around my paper piecing tool!! I cut a Die- Namics notched border and fishtail flag and then wrapped some twine around it.All the stamps are from the Die-Namics bookmark die and stamp set. I distressed all the edges of my papers too for a bit of umpf!!!

The sentiment is popped up on some foam and I made the little book charm by stamping 4 of the book stamp and adding a little bookmark of twine before attaching it through the torn part.

Here's a side view so you can see a bit of dimension....

On the inside of the card I stamped the long 'Read This' stamp. I love it because its just perfect for writing your message above it.

That's all from me today!

Tatiana Ketto......

Corners-  Cherry Lynn Lace Deco B  .

Morning all!!

Hope you are all having a great monday. Its Lou here to share a little make with you all this morning and I decided to go and have a good old rummage through the shop to find some hidden treasures!

I came up with Tatiana Ketto. She was one of my first ever Stamping Bella buys and I love her. she just has a litte something about her that makes me smile whenever I colour her up and she is so easy to colour.

The 40 has a good old covering of glossy accents on and it looks so cool!! The Lily Bee designs Persnickety papers just went so well with the colours I had chosen and who can resist a Memory Box border?.......not me!!! I love them!!! The Cherish border is easily one of my favourites.

Right! got to go!
Thank you for peeking in!
Hugs Lou xx
