Thanks!

Hello lovely peeps. With autumn well and truly here, it seems appropriate that I share a little card with you today that has a distinctly autumnal colour palette.

These My Minds Eye papers are actually halloween ones. I'm always a little bit scared of event/seasonal papers (aside from Christmas, obviously!) as I worry that I won't get good value for money as I won't be able to use them for anything else. Totally not the case with this pad! There are loads of different designs which could be used at any time of the year - yay!

As usual, everything you see on this card is available from the gorgeous Tracy, in Dies to Die For store. Just click on the links below to be taken straight there.

Happy Birthday Tracy

Last week was our very own Tracy's Birthday and here is the card I made for her. I used more papers from the MME Follow Your Heart Be Happy Collection as well as the MFT Die-namics Hexagon dies - love these! I also included my favourite butterfly die cut using vellum.

Mini Christmas Cards...

I so need to get started making some Christmas Cards, so when Tracy sent me the set of The Greeting Farm stamps....I got cracking...

These are very small cards by Craftwork Cards and using one of the stamps from the Holiday Blessings set and Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, I stamped out the background. I then took each of the other three stamps from the set and using the same ink stamped them onto Craftwork Cards Digital Cardstock. I coloured the images with Copics using R37/YG11/Y32/Y28 and added some Stickles to each image. I then mounted each image onto some scraps of red cardstock and added 3D foam pads to each one. I finished off each card with a little My Minds Eye Washi Tape (this came from Tracy but I cannot see it in the shop at the moment).

Here is a closer look of the one hiding in the picture above.
These stamps are a quick way to make your Christmas Cards...they are perfect for Kids to give to their school friends.

Rollin' By to Say Hi

Hey Everyone

Hope your week is going well.

Today I would like to share with you a card I have made using a fabulous Kraftin' Kimme stamp called Lulu on the Move.

Here is the full card:

I love this stamp set - there are three in total, Lulu roller skating, Lulu hula hooping and Lulu riding a little trike - they are just brilliant!

The recipe for the card is:

Stamp Set:  Kraftin' Kimme - Lulu on the Move
Papers:  My Minds Eye - Six by Six - Quilting Bee
Kraft Card:  Bazzill Kraft Card
Pennant Die:  Poppystamps - Simple Banner
Twine:  My Mind's Eye - All is Bright Twine (I can't find it on the DTDF web but if you e-mail Tracy she will get it for you)
Enamel Dots:  My Mind's Eye - The Sweetest Thing - Tangerine Enamel Dots (again, please contact Tracy via the DTDF web and she will get them for you)

The image has been coloured with Copics:

Skin:  E21 E00 E000 / R20 R30 (Cheeks)
Hair:  E18 E17 E15 E13
Top:  R39 R29 R27 R24
Skirt:  B000 BG000 BG0000
Boots:  T6 T5 T4 T3 / R29 R24 / C8 C6 (Wheels)

The image has been outlined using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink
The papers have been edged with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink

I have also created some faux stitching around the card with a black fine liner pen

One final 'arty' picture of the inside of the card where I have copied the layout through:

And that's it as they say.

Enjoy the rest of your week everyone.

Take care

Brigette has a christmassy bathtime!!!

Morning everyone!!!

Its Lou popping in with a little make for you this morning and I was feeling in the christmas mood so Kraftin Kimmie's Brigette got a christmassy bathtime!!!

The papers on this one are just gorgeous. They are Glitz Joyeux Noel and I have to admit to a good 30 mins of 'stroke the paper' before I actually managed to cut into it!! he he he!! I cut round some of the gorgeous little pennants in the paper and tucked her under them.

Brigette is coloured up with promarkers and her bubbles got a little bit of Glossy Accents treatment :)

They are  corners are Cherry Lynn Lace Deco B and the twine is MME Merry and Bright.

I had some fun making the little charm too. I stamped it onto some shrink plastic using Jet Black Staz on and then coloured it up with some pencils. Then before  heated it to shrink it up I inked around the edges with a Memento Red Letter dewdrop inkpad. Then when it shrinks there is a lovely coloured deep edge around it. I tied a little bow and glued it on to finish it off.

The sentiment comes with Brigette and when I showed this card to my little boy, Mo, he said " wow, Mrs. Claus looks really happy in her bath after wrapping all those toys for santa mummy!!" so I was super pleased I had coloured her hair in grey!!! too cute!!!

Hugs Lou xxx

Lucky Bunny - Spots & Stripes

Hi all, I am back from my blogging break and thought what better time to return than for the latest DTDF Challenge. This month it is Spots & Stripes. As you can tell from my card I have gone with the spots part!

I have taken The Greetings Fram Lucky Bunnies stamp set and stamped the bunny with balloon image and coloured with Copics. I have cut the panel out and added it to the base with 3D foam pads. The base is simply a white card base with a sheet from the MME Follow Your Heart Be Happy collection added with 3D foam pads. The sentiment has been printed from my PC and cut out using one of the dies from the MFT Die-Namics Sentiment Strips set. Clear Bazzill rhinestones have been coloured with a Copic marker and added to the card to finish.

I have been completely hooked on the Amy Tangerine Daybooks recently, and decided that I really wanted to have a crack at making my own. And here is what I made...

The cover...
Here is the inside...
Here is a closer look at some of the inside pages...
 Die-cut page
 Journal card page
 Coin envelope page

I just cannot stop making these cute little albums, and they are a fantastic way to use up papers that you have had lying around. This one was made from a 6x6 Paper Pad by Best Creations Inc called Travel Forever...HERE. The diecut bits were cut from a sheet of card in the pad, as were all the bits used to decorate under the Hambly overlay that is on the front. The cover itself is made with Bazzill Kraft cardstock...HERE, and I added AC Thickers for the title . I have sewn the spine of this one by using my sewing machine. Don't turn it on or use the foot pedal....use the wheel and turn it manually...you don't want to break the needle going through all the layers.

I am totally addicted, and will have another one to show you next week...They are such a great way to use up the ends of paper pads, or left over pieces of 12x12.

Morning everyone,
This is my first big Dies to Die for DT post here on the blog so I am waving at you all a bit nervously!! My name is Lou and my blog is here if you fancy wombling in on me :)

Now it would be fair to say there was a very large amount of ohhhh-ing and squeeee-ing going on in my house on friday night when I got home from work to find my yummy DT pack full of goodies!!

ooooh I love this Die-namics Lollipop Treat die and Stamp set!!! I have wanted it from the second I saw a sneak peek of it and I just had to get playing with it right away!! Here's a quick piccy so you all know why I was so excited..

*NEW* Die-namics Lollipop Treat Die & Stamp Set

Squeeee!!

I used the stamps in the set to spice up my orange cardstock. I stamped the centred 'BOO!' twice so it popped out a bit using Versafine Onyx Black because its just such a gorgeous crisp inkpad.

The super cute little spook is from the Die-namics Halloween Charms die set, here it is...

*NEW* Die-namics Halloween Charms
I LOVE the little spook! I tied it on with a little bit of MME All is Bright twine. When you tie the twine it secures the little lollipop inside nice and snuggly. Too cute!!
And here's a little tutorial to show how simple and fun they are to pop together...

I am going to be making a whole load more of these cuties today ready for the little trick or treating peeps on halloween!

Have a great day everyone

Prima Marketing meets Marianne Designs...

Well, finally I am back crafting. Have been in a crafty funk for a few weeks...but this week I am back determined to get back in the flow...
To ease myself gently back into crafting I decided to stay away from my Copics and use some papers and dies instead...

I have taken the Prima Marketing Welcome to Paris 6x6 pad and layered them with some Black Bazzill cardstock. I then used the new Marianne Designs Eiffel Tower die to cut some glittery cardstock and added that to the front along with some Prima Marketing Say it with Crystals - Corners 3 and finally added some black spotted ribbon and a Craftwork Cards sentiment.

Don't forget that it you want to enter August's Monthly Challenge you have until the 17th to enter as a new challenge goes live on September 18th...

Shine!

Hello lovely people! I hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend. I know I certainly am as I'm off to France tonight for a little weekend away. Here's to lots of chilled out mooching around, yummy food and plenty of wine - without one of us being on lemonade because we have to drive! Anyway, enough of my waffle. Let me show you what you came for.... Some crafty inspiration!

I had a ridiculous amount of fun with this card and I'm so chuffed/stunned that the bling I added to the sentiment came out in the picture - first time I've ever managed that!

I went for a real scrappy feel on my card, just like my biggest stamping idols do. I'm not sure I executed it with the level of precision that they do, but I think it is definitely passable! I particularly adore this amazing Crate Paper collection, just the most beautiful designs and colour palette. Yum!

I applied the bling to the sentiment in a slightly different way and I think this will be my method of choice from now on. I squirted a little Stickles on a piece of scrap and then used a paint brush to paint on the sparkles. It gave a must thinned, less gloppy look which I much prefer. A useful tip ith Christmas just around the corner.

Anyway, must dash, I have a ferry to catch!
